    GG on the Algorithm hit. I think we should do a challenge where I have an hour to convince you to do an RMC...

      just do the 4 meter method

    I spent years with NL1 and NL2 to get smooth hand-built coasters. It kinda worked somehow but the effort was too time-consuming. The same goes for Planet Coaster. The game is not designed to build the smoothest coasters and the coasters built with the 4-Meter-Method don't look good, because the segments are too small (too many screws). The only way to build a smooth and realistic coaster is, by using FVD++ and importing it to NL2. The coasters in PlanCo should look nice when you play the game and not ridding them.

    • @themeparkwirral
      @themeparkwirral  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Yeah that's a good point, in order for anything smooth you need to sacrifice looks which can be really difficult for those who design good looking parks

    • @LewisRiverman

      @@themeparkwirral It doenst look horrible from distance I guess. I think most of the people do not even recognise it. I rather go for the look outside of the ride and not during the POVs. Roller coaster design is more force- and speed of roll-based rather than the actual shaping.

      In my opinion the best way to make a coaster is to make it 4 meter, smooth it 4 meter and then replace it with longer trackpieces (8 or 12 meters) this gives in my opinion a pretty dang accurate and smooth experience while also looking right

    Impressive to see the time you spent on shapping wich we can see when you build the element before reshaping it and you get a nearly perfect shapping...
    Interesting experiment. Gold video as always.

    For me on planet coaster(console ps4) I find the best way of smoothing is building the coaster out of 4m then replace the track so it's smooth- it mostly works for corkscrews, heartline rolls, most inversions but there are some I haven't tried like cobra rolls, loops etc- it mostly works well

    I made a pretty smooth rmc with the 4 and 8 meter method, then I used the auto complete method, and 2ft of banking offest, just finished, took 1h and 30 mins I think or longer

      @themeparkwirral  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If there is ever a planet coaster 2, I hope they really improve upon its smoothing system. It can be a lot better, and they should also offer 1 meter track without modding.
