That's the one thing about Selena, she is still a normal looking girl, you look at other Disney stars and even in radio interviews or whatever they always look like their going to an awards ceremony afterwards but Selena...she looks like your normal girl who has just come from home, wearing normal casual clothes etc, she isn't looking to impress physically which is so nice compared to other stars.

Tears came to my eyes, just by seeing how much Selena have grown into becoming a beautiful, loving woman. The whole Justin thing with her is stupid in our eyes. But everyone has a different way of living their lives, she may need this experience to become who she really is. It may be one of the many life lesson she will encounter. Not everyone is the same or live the same lives.

The thing is though, if you really analyze what she just said, she did not really 'turn a cheek and kept going'. If she did, she wouldn't have put this song out. She could have went about another one where it does NOT talk about love, and all that chaos, if she so really wanted to 'turn the other cheek and kept going'. Think about it people, don't just look at the big picture, but more so look at the small details.
^ no she did. I think what she meant was she needed to turn the other cheek and let it out. Not in a negative manner but in a way that allows her to be real with her fans. By 'turn the other cheek', I don't think she meant it like - 'oh I'm just going to try keep my fans happy'. I think she meant 'I'm going to be real with everyone and be who I truly am, share a message out to all those hurting, that it's okay to hurt because things happen. Just don't keep it in. It's okay.' Because it IS okay to hurt and it IS okay to let it out in the way you want to express it. She expressed it through her music because she's probably most comfortable expressing it through that and finally being able to open up about it. That's what she meant :)
And by 'keep going', I think she meant that in order to move on you need to take that first step of facing your emotions and your situation. By putting out this song, that was her way of facing the hurt that she was feeling and finally being able to let it go (*gets distracted and starts singing let it go* #sorrynotsorry .) I know some people are probably taking this as a joke where they think it's silly that she's so hurt over a relationship and that she's still young but it's truly amazing how emotionally vested a person can get in a relationship, no matter their age. Some people get hurt and are unable to move on for a very long time because despite it being a relationship formed at a young age, a person can be just as emotionally attached as someone who is older. Age doesn't matter. It's the actual relationship and i think it's unfair of these people to assume it's silly to be hurt over something that happened between the two. Only the people in the relationship can ever know. Onlookers can judge but they're not the ones experiencing it. It's so easy to just assume and judge. It's not as easy when you're the one going through it. People need to gain a little understanding for other people's situations. Insecurities, self doubt and hurt are not easily battled and conquered. It takes time and it takes opening up.

First of all Selena fan right here... Love the song very personal n brave to put herself out there like that....& well ne ways I think what she means is of course she's not 100% because it takes time to heal from being n pain...This song is her way of therapeutic its a start to come out n show her side of the story....& can b easily related to for many of her fans because it comes from the heart. As many of u can see she still emotional about it...plus the white lady is bombarding her with strong personal questions while Ryan is trying to ease into or n other moments get her out of the conversation.. like when he asked about if her n Taylor shared shoes... Ya'll it's 7 years later from when this interview happened and she only performed The Heart Wants What it Wants once. Ever. She poured her everything into that performance and never sang it again. At 4:44 she says ''this is the first time I'm performing this'' but you can hear she is saying ''this is the only time I'm going to perform this'' but quickly switched it to first. She knew all along she wasn't going to ever sing it again.
I love Selena Gomez I want to be a pretty and amazing singer just like her but I just wish I could meet her first and maybe she could help me wright a song and practice singing it and I think she might inspire me to make more song and become famous just like her.
