- Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said, "I may be accused of being a dictator, but I like to differ. And today, a dictator will talk about democracy," when he delivered a talk on “The Future of Democracy in Asia” at The Royal Institute of International Affairs, commonly known as Chatham House in London on Monday.
The US will not want a person like him to be d Secretary-general of UN,, he speaks with no fear or favour. Long live Tun! He does Malaysia proud!

for democracy to work, you need an educated society that will understand and know how it works. if democracy is implemented in a society that is not ready to accept it, there will be chaos and defeat the purpose it is intended for. the west needs to understand asia more instead of merely pushing for it. we need to implement it step by step. the west can be stupid at times. i am all for democracy but even in democracy , there should be accountability. freedom of press does not mean you can destroy privacy of others and private life. sensationalising issues and misreporting to sell your media. and many others. democracy stil needs people to make it work, i mean leadership and also maturity. and also authoritative leaders at times. when you need to stroke, there is no 2 ways about it.
FIND IT INSPIRING DOING YOUR WORK WHILE LISTENING TO MAHATHIR SPEECH.
Hmm..we still have to depend on democracy..but actually, we have to admit that democracy is not the best system at all...it is alternative to other systems in the world... we have to make democracy system with a few adjustment that suitable our country, our value system and our people.... no nation has the same culture to stick exactly to the pure democracy... even some superpowers dont care much about the basic of democracy pricipal when they have veto powers...
..for instance, democracy in parliament representatives are base on majority votes, but some decision making in majority votes are to benefits their own interest, their political power, to gain more money or to get more social influence... no politician want to service just for welfare..
So, democracy always need a few adjustment according to value system that suit people of certain cultures...

Prengki Pransisco ya saya setuju pada sisi bahasa Inggeris Pak Jokowi agak kurang enak didengar tapi pada sisi yang lainnya pula kinergi hasil kerjanya emang mantap. Ya usah dibimbangkan sangat tahap bahasa Inggeris Pak Jokowi asalkan dia bekerja dengan ikhlas & jujur demi memajukan Indonesia. Pada saya ngak apa2 kalau bahasa inggerisnya kurang baik asalkan hasil kerjanya mantap & nasib rakyat terbela. Najib bahasa Inggerisnya memang bagus tapi malangnya moralnya rendah,oleh itu kami sebagai rakyat Malaysia ngak suka sama sekali...Ya tapi kalau bahasa ingeris bagus level of confident jugak bisa naik, tapi ngak apa2 kalau inggeris kurang baik kerna yg penting hasilnya...

In fact, I went home during GE14 to be PACA for PH.
But as Malaysian Chinese, I am strongly disagree on your statement that Malaysian Chinese are wealthy, I found myself difficult to earn a living in Malaysia, therefore I am now working in Saudi for nearly 10 years to support my family.
And I only have 3 kits ; my husband take up 2 jobs and his father till now still working. My father in law now is 75 years old.

yes can't agree more.Across any races, there are those who are wealthy, average and poor,. there should be a new definition to identify who is wealthy and not, not just by race despite that some must be helped . I think if a Chinese, Indian, Malay who live at the same level of the economy as average or low average society - there must be a better mechanism to serve all . It would take time....pray for the best.

Democracy in pipe line seems in good shape, but when out of pipe line it becomes shape less . It means in theory it is good form of government , but in practice it turns to bad form of governance .
