I love how you designed this! This summer, we will need to update one of the bedrooms so each boy has their own room. (My oldest will be in middle school.) The desk with the Ikea counter will be perfect!

Amazing office, love how it turned out!ps: i hear your struggle.. and imo..Putting the desk to the right or left side and a nice open shelf closet next to it would look great too and you have your desired corner setup 🤭❤️✨

If the smell is still there, you could remove the closet doors and leave it open. Also, diffusing Purification in the room might help too.

I’d use that closet for inset shelving space. Maybe take the doors off & expand the frame to the actual width of the closet? If you ever do clothing hauls in there you can buy clothing racks. Or if you ever need closet space again you could always take the shelves out & put a bar back in it.

I love it. The colors are perfect. The floating shelves next to the window are my favorite part. Sorry about the funky smell. I find that coffee works even better than baking soda at absorbing smells. I would put some coffee on the floor and shelf of the closet and then lock it up for a bit. Wiping down the walls with a vinegar solution may help too. Could also be on the ceiling vents. I hope you find it because that would drive me nuts.

Hey, If you do get a glowforge you’ll need to get a air filter to put it on the corner you mentioned . If not you’ll have to vent out the window or cute a venting hole through the wall. Just a little heads up!

FYI check that vent in the ceiling, sometimes previous owners leave a "gift" hiding in the duct work. Good luck.
The smell did end up going away! But thanks for the tip! Never thought of that!! Lol
I know this was posted like 4months ago but maybe try hanging your monitors up on the wall and maybe position them so they look like they're caddy cornered.
