Yeah sometimes it just doesn’t work out with injuries, and I think that is definitely part of it. They lost some of their big young talent and free agent signings to injuries on that defensive line, which really sucks plus they have a super young secondary at corner, so that’s not been easy either. I think they need to build up their guard position this off-season as well as one more weapon on offense too.

Personally I would try to add a WR over a TE. If all the top WR’s are off the board, I would consider it then, but since they have Schoonmaker as well even with the struggles, I would wait and see if he can continue developing for another season and decide from their. It’s an interesting argument tho! If they want to play more heavy personnel, it’s an option as well.

Yes, they do but should take Carter then draft for the OL like your describing with 2nd and (2) 3rd rounders. Carter will upgrade the defense like Micah Parsons of the Cowboys did. If they ignore this then most likely we'll be looking at a new staff. New Englanders are getting inpatient.

So I had a deep dive conversation with my friend on football and the Detroit Lions you know when it comes to this upcoming year there's not really a lot that helps the Lions be better in free agency and or the draft because of position there's not even a handful of free agents that makes sense for the Lions and when it comes to the draft guys that you would trade up for wouldn't be starters because we already have those starters unless you're going to take a guy in the first round to sit and or you force our hand making our offense butter getting a wide receiver but you can get that in later rounds a guy that's bigger a true acts wide receiver at 6465 that we don't have that is Young unless you're taking a guy that's really second round Talent at the end of the first or you're trading back in hopes of getting a third round pick and really banking on someone falling The Edge position or a guard but we just drafted Christian mahogany and he played and did pretty good against the Bears
They may of got a steal on Mahogany! But with that conversation, I think especially in this class they are going to be looking a lot more at Day 2 guys, but they will have to really just do what they have been doing, finding key guys that will contribute in roles early on and hopefully long run, they will be starters.

Just BPA wise, I would take Carter or Graham over McMillan. Some will have Air McMillan higher and that’s cool, but I really think they shouldn’t force an offensive pick just to force it. Offense is a huge need no doubt, but they do have the most money to spend in free agency, so it leaves them with the ability to sign the best free agents possible, go into the draft hopefully with more of a Best Available approach.
