Great job girls ! Before my Expo was trained I used a hands-free leash and instead of putting the loop around my waist (because it was too hard) I would put it over my head and I'd let it drop "under my arm" (to prevent choking LOL). I used to use a normal leash the way Tisha has it but I was always afraid that it would slip off my shoulder. And as far as the pulling....I tried many things and nothing worked until Expo went through training and walks without a leash now :)

I learned this when I was growing up..... If you're trying to train your dog to sit on command and they don't understand what you want from them, what you do is..... As you're telling them to sit, gently put your "hand" on the dog's torso and push down as you say, "Sit!". Then after the dog sits, heavily praise them a couple of times with your words! Like, say, "Oh such a good boy!" And give them a belly rub along with your praise (if you can) to let them know they did a good job. Because they really want to please you and they won't be confused about what you want. I hope this helps. 💗

Look into this using a “Halti” head collar. It is amazing at preventing a dog from pulling!

Alright this is my episode. Finally you guys do something I know something about. Haha.
So Tisha has a great way to walk the lab. Using a pinch collar is a great communication tool. Jessica also has a good idea for walking the dogs. I dont think there is any way for you guys to walk them without potentially being pulled down. I actually use both methods myself. I have a leash that goes around my waste and I also sometimes use a prong collar.
Here is a link to a guy named Jeff Gellman. He teaches training over the internet. I really like his videos. You can learn a lot from him and put your own twist on it. If anything it will help you understand dogs a little more. It has for me.

This link is to amazon. Have a look at these leashes. They could be of help.

Ugh, prongs collars are prooven to be painful to the dog which is why they work, and also to cause anxiety within dogs. This is scientifically prooven. You should try halties or Gentle leaders which stop pulling however it goes on the nose and is like a horse halter, and doesn't acually hurt when it gets tight as theres no medal prongs going into the dogs neck. And if u keep the nose peice loose like I should be, it doesn't cause discomfort at all. (When they get used to it, like anything they have to get used to it) or you should acually send them to a behavorist with DAGREES (as there all positive reinforcement when educated) so they can learn to walk nicely. also there is hand free leashes like what I have, that can go over the shoulder or around the waste. I would reccomend that over the device she had, as it probably would be much easier to put on, and it would be much more secure for both her and the dogs. 🙂

FYI, would be easier to listen to without the background music. When you are describing complex situations, any background distractions require effort to filter out so we can pay attention to the content. Background music is good when there is no talking.

adam crum yes yes they have all legs. Just saying it still doesn’t read like its describing the subject who is doing the walking that has no arms. Nevermind.
These women are incredible. Was my main point regardless of the wording. You get it when you watch it.

Since filming this, have you guys tried other methods/devices for walking your dogs?
