Woah, it's been a pleasure to follow the series! It's a shame it ended Once again, thanks for the compliments, and criticism will be taken too! Maybe you should give Garlic Quest a try, if you can and want to. It's a short but cool single-level episode by Rowland and Yamano.
It's good to finally get useful feedback on this. Starting with "???" - a level that intentionally resembles the void level from CI2. While some ideas landed well, others (like lasers) are here just because I needed unique sprites and didn't have time to take the creation process slowly. I also grown to hate some graphical aspects of this level, like yellow lanterns emanating blue light on the wall (no clue how that even got in lol). Graphics, sounds and music of the final boss, aside from small issues, I still really like. Now it's time to get into the main issue of this finale. I can see how the general theme-ing of last levels, as well as the fight itself is much weaker than the finale of CI2, both in difficulty and in presentation. Last normal levels, while nice, can't top the macabre and spookiness of the "Ghost Town" alone. Artemis, while a more complex character in my head, wasn't presented like a real character at all in CI 1 or 2. Poorly showcased story importance is easily overshadowed by the simple but strong idea of menacing crow necromancer. The fight also lacks the epic finish that Dirus had, both the rage phase and the escape sequence added a lot to the experience. Rage phase is 100% needed for future Artemis, so that might happen when I update it in like 10 years lol. Maybe with more exposition in previous parts the ending will be less kitschy (but I honestly really like it anyway too). Also yeah best ending song, no contest. It's kinda funny knowing what your fav episodes are, considering we're a couple with Rowland now haha Anyway, thanks for playing! May we meet in the CI1 update sooner than later
Properly presenting a complex character with all its facets you made up in your head is such a tough challenge. Especially when you have limited possibilities like in PK2. Did you plan out the whole story like it is now from the beginning (CI1) or did it form later on?
@@MiaMipha Plan to make a trilogy was born after CI1, before that I had just some loose ideas for possible continuations but nothing was really set in stone. Still, saying that I had part 3 well planned when making part 2 would be a lie, once again I knew the general direction but the destination remained unclear. Even when I had some ideas for foreshadowing, the absolute chore that is making any cutscenes in PK2 made me scratch non-essential ideas. It's safe to say making cutscenes is my least favorite part of the creation process, I'm stuck at remaking intro for CI1 atm so that aspect didn't change at all.
How much real-time did you spend trying to defeat Artemis? Also, shout out to Yamano for all of their work. These bosses are most satisfying to fight against
I suppose you need an app that allows you to access your phone's file system and navigate to the mapstore folder of PK2 and drag the downloaded zip inside. Someone on the Discord suggested X-plore File Manager. But I've never done this myself so I have no real clue.
@@MiaMipha "The folder is locked" also i tried the program you told me and It says i need permission to paste the archives but It doesnt Let me use the folder to give permission :(
Well, I found a user with a similar problem in the PK2 Discord and the answer to their problem was, that they needed a rooted device to avoid this. Maybe this helps you or you can ask for further help on the Discord I personally have no experience with pk2 on mobile.
