Sean, I noticed that you’re running fastrack directly on top of what appears to be 3/4” plywood. With that track being screwed to the wood, are you experiencing more noise or do you have some sort of sound deadening material under the track. I just finished building my table and using 3/4” plywood as well as fastrack.
There's a sound deadening material between the track and plywood. It's that black strip between the track and plywood. You can't really see it because I trimmed it off up to the edge of the track.
Great video! Do you have a Nickel Plate #765 Berk? If you do can you do a running session video on it? If not then what engine did the crew talk at 28:20?
+steve albee there are a couple of great ways to curve the wood. The most common is to use a pencil to draw out the arc you want. Then I prefer to use a jigsaw to make the initial curve. Then i take my Ryobi 8.5 amp fixed base router to easily and clean up and make the edge look ecstatically pleasing as well as smoother. Hope this answers your question
+steve albee will do i don't know Sean but I just finished building a new layout and was using his videos to learn about LCS because the customer i was working for doesn't use DCS from MTH which is what i use. Best of luck on your layout roll on.

+Matt-Trainlover9943 HAHA, Good ear. That was the 765 NKP Berk. I accidently started it instead of the SD70 when I made the video.
