I love Almond Croissant! It’s all cherry almond, no flaky or buttery scent but I’m okay with that. Hummingbird Tea Cake was good too, like a spicy banana cake/banana bread
I smelled Book loft today, it’s definitely a floral candle.

Totally. This was my first time smelling wild berry jam donut and I'm a little under whelmed by it. especially because of the comparisons to happy Hanukah. HH smells so much more yeasty and exactly like a donut. WJD id smelling more like wildberry and ube to me. Still similar of course.
Vanilla and coconut surf is amazing, i agree. Really didnt expect to love it cause i dont love beachy scents but its so creamy and delightful.
Hope rose and lychee comes back. I REALLY enjoyed that one. It seemed pretty popular too

See I actually find them too strong. I have them on the lowest setting and I still feel suffocated.

I smelled the Almond Croissant today, and I love it! Glad to hear it has a strong throw. I'm exchanging some of my candle day candles for it. 😁
No issues with you exchanging? I had issues today they said I had to pay the difference. I was like no thanks.
I did the same thing and got Almond Croissant and Hummingbird Tea Cake. I love them both!
It always just depends on the store and total luck of the draw on what sales associate rings you out, but technically per the store policy, if it is the same original ticket price ($26.95) on the candle you are exchanging out, then it should be an even exchange. It will ring as the sale price, but they are supposed to price override to make it an even $0.00 swap. The seasonal sales associate often have very minimal register training and won't know what the policy or procedure is, so you may have to kindly stand your ground if they give you push back.
@@CzaintI didn’t have any issues surprisingly. I had my receipt for two Candle Day candles and they exchanged with no problems from Almond Croissant. I initially loved it but Kent described what kind of threw me off about the candle and it’s that savory everything bagel type scent to it. I don’t really care for that part but initially this candle was an immediate favorite.

I used to buy a lot of vendor wax, and there is a typical “jelly donut” fragrance oil that a lot of vendors use. I think Happy Hanukkah smells like that - more authentic jelly donut. Whereas “Wildberry Jam Dounut” is lacking in the bakery scent for me, and much lighter.
I wanted to smell these today 😩 but my stores just had the honeysuckle one which I 100% love and that bee 3 wick holder so damn cute
Yea, it's totally random. Some stores have the entire collection out and some have none at all. One girl even gave me attitude and acted like I was dumb when I asked her if she had the Almond Croissant candle.
I love lavender marshmallow! There’s so many happy Hanukkah candles leftover. I don’t get it. That one is soooooo good. I bought 2 more.
They are much much more real than Wildberry Jam Donut. Like Kent figured out.
I’m so excited to go buy four or five more Hanukkah candles. I don’t even burn candles. I have a warmer, so mine is going to last years. But I’m still scared I’m going to never have that scent again.

Book Loft seemed heavy on a powdery note to me. Maybe cashmere? Just over Covid and my sniffer is definitely still mending. But I’m with you, whatever it is, it wasn’t expected. Can not wait for a candle sale again! Almost caved today….

I love the almond one!! Years ago, I had the low profile almond candle from them. Loved it. This smelt almost the same to me.
That neutral-type collection from like 2016/2017? Is that the Almond you’re talking about?
@@chelseacd They had the elements collection Almond as well as a number of other plain Almond candles (including the low profile one) and they are all the same as the more recent online exclusive "Almond Blossom." Many of the previous Almonds have the same ILN (Ingredients List Number) as the body care smelling Almond Blossom candle. Almond Croissant doesn't have that heavy perfume-y sandalwood note, so while similar, still different fragrances.
@@TheCandleChannel thank you! I’m always fascinated with what has stuck around since 2016 or so. Also, I stopped into a store today to smell, cozy bookstore, whatever. If you take all the creaminess out of it, you get something close to Diptyque’s L’eau Papier. LEP can lean harsh, so it seems bbw added something to their scent to prevent that.
When you say not to focus on the everything bagel comment but 👀 🤔 can’t wait to get these! On cold I loved the almond one.
Great video! So far nothing from the spring candle collection has piqued my interest. I was able to get around a dozen candles from SAS, mostly at 75%, so I was happy. Funny you mentioned Rose + Lychee 3 wick candle, cuz I scored one surprisingly on MLK day. Hopefully they'll release again and you'd be able to get yours.
I went to BBW and traded in Pure Wonder Candle from the Black Friday box for the Almond Croissant Candle. I am afraid to sniff it again after your Everything Bagel description. I didn't see Coconut Vanilla Surf. I hope that I can still find it.

I think I slightly prefer PTV over Almond Croissant, but probably only because that one came first? But I think the Almond Croissant is a bit cloying with that savoriness that makes it less pleasant than PTV, imo.

Random Question for you Kent I figured you might know the answer but shouldn’t the collection featuring Tea Rose, Sapphire Quartz, Amethyst Dreams, and Seasalt Balsam be ringing up as 75% off? I saw a random Seasalt & Balsam candle in store today but it wasn’t at the 75 off table. Makes me want to go back and ask for a price check.
It should be but my stores does shit like that all the time as well. And they still don't give me the sale price :/

I'm disappointed Book Loft is floral. I was hoping it would smell like a book store, a freshly cut paper vibe. Sort of like that old candle Summer Bonfire that smelled like freshly cut wood and people compared to the scent of Home Depot... That one never came back.
People gotta stop buying these products at full price and 50% off. Pretty much everything at BBW is priced in such a way it's only a good deal around 75% off
