I realy love how they turned out! Ghimighoul and gholdengo are one of my favorite pokemon line from paldea and they turned out great! And of course the signiture magnets are here aswell so 10/10

Great job with that gilding, I'm actually surprised it was doable considering the small spaces that the figure has like under the hair For the elevctroplating failure I think an issue was that sanding is not enough, I don't think it being 3 pieces glued together was the issue, since in that caae you could've plated all 3 and then glue them at the end But to get a good result you have to make sure that your print is absolutely perfectly stupidly smooth and sealed, normally requires a couple layers of primer and resin thin resin coating, but hey.....at least ABS is easier to sand than PLA, becuase you will need to get to a couple 1000s level grit which means a couple of hours/days But nonetheless great project, yoy always keep finding new original ways to create each pokemon!

I remember those golden pokemon cards from burger king,I have them all but 1,and I'm pretty sure I still have them somewhere,I just haven't seen them in years,since I don't throw things away or sell any of my stuff,I know I still have them somewhere,I do miss them doing these things
The Gholdengo looks about as good as anyone could do, you did a great job. Would the electroplating have been more realistic? Sure. Would it probably be worth it to Pokemon fans with money to burn to just pay $100k on making one out of solid gold? Maybe. But did you put your heart and soul into the one you did make? Of course, and that's what matters. I expect the electroplating company had problems with the model, as you said, because of the glue. I expect, even with the best glue in the world, it's gonna melt instantly at such high temperatures, and your pieces are gonna fly all around their tank, maybe knocking into the electrodes or other key components. Idk though, I'm no expert at all. The Gimmighoul chest looks fantastic, though! I do kinda want the Pikachu one because it's adorable, but yours is awesome and much more thematic.

The real oje was the 15th anniversary 24kt gold Pikachu with the enammeled colour finsih that they basically dropped as a cool gift for investors and a first-come first served piece with the jewlers who produced the card for the general public.
