Today's #FocusOnSound in-depth review, takes a look at the latest revision of Fender's highly popular amplifier: the Blues Junior. This one, dubbed the Blues Junior IV, features several upgraded features: namely, the speaker. For years, users have requested superior speakers to come stock with these amps, and Fender have listened, installing a hugely improved Celestion A-type 12" speaker, that makes the amplifier sound considerably more musical, fatter, and more substantial.
Featuring 3 12AX7 tubes in the preamp section, and a pair of EL84s driving the power section, this amp does everything from high-headroom clean tones, through to searing, fat, articulate overdrives with effortless finesse. We still find it remarkable that an amp this size can project such a balanced tone with the authority and weight that you'd often expect from a considerably larger amplifier! This revision will surely continue to uphold the Blues Junior's title as the biggest-selling tube amplifier of all time, and we hope you enjoy our exploration of it in this episode of our TH-cam series.
    Until the next one...

My type of guy, no yapping and blabbering just straight to the sound of the amp, hell yeah man keep it up

Real clean setting= master drive at 12 and the volume at 2 or 3 - great for country style in combination with the RC booster, the Nobles ODR-1 and the Dynacomp MXR compressor. It's a killer! Great video! It's my best Amp ever.

I’ve owned one for 3 years now. After a year it died but I got it fixed under warranty. Been fine since. Really love it.

Very well played, sir. I have the made in Mexico version of the blues junior. I love cranking the volume and then turning the master volume down for some low volume break up.

Fantastic demo and playing! I own this amp and found the reverb to have the same response from settings 2 - 12 (no noticeable change in reverb depth). What has your experience with this been? Cheers!

I have a 2020 mk 4 in purple and turquoise and the first thing I did was change the Ruby reverb tank to one made by MOD in US or MOX here in Uk the model no is 8EB2C1B, it has improved the smoothness of the reverb its got a nice tone to it although being as its coming of a chip and not a valve its not like the tank of old school Fender as its quite small but its great non the less. They offered three different decay lengths short, medium which i plumped for and long in this size tank and for little money you can upgrade easily don't forget the right angled Philips screwdriver as one of the screws is located right under the speaker with very little room. You'd probably want the long. You could go for a larger tank but you'd need to possibly do some tapping and drilling as I don't know if the holes would line up on a bigger tank. Mine already came with a Cannabis Rex speaker and I changed the v1 with a 12at7 valve for a little less volume as I play at home and a little more beef. When or if it ever goes in for repairs although I am hoping not I will replace the reverb tank cable with a hifi one I bought that will need to be soldered to the board. A few simple mods can improve your amp but the reverb the best you can do is upgrade it isn't expensive..

turn up the treble when using humbuckers. None should play it with bass and mids higher then the treble on a eq it isnt single coils. It sounds like there is a blanket over the speaker and sounds to dark and muddy
