    I had used it when it was called Co-pilot, because Craig had talked about it. I loved it, i loved my trainer. One day, he left the company, and i stopped after that, because i felt like he taught me enough that i was exercising daily even without talking to a trainer. Craig and that trainer are two of the biggest reasons that i went from rarely exercising to exercising almost daily.

    I was a decently active person, not training for anything, but exercising in some capacity nearly everyday. I certainly didn't have any real pain or limitations in my life. Then two months ago I got completely blindsided by an inner ear issue causing long-term vertigo. Suddenly, I couldn't do anything and even light exercise made the dizziness worse/return. I have been humbled by the experience. I found this video very encouraging as I find myself starting from square one.

    After watching several of your videos talking about Copilot / Trainwell I decided to take the plunge. This last summer I was in Cabo San Lucas and overall just didn't feel great and didn't feel confident about my appearance on the beach with the ole belly hanging out. I've been using Trainwell for the last 4 months and it's truly been transformational. I've lost weight, gained strength, look better and feel better. I can't say enough about my trainer Derek who is there with me every step of the way. Who woulda thunk that I'd gain my health back from watching a WheezyWaiter video? Thanks Craig! Not only do you make me laugh but I'm healthy because of your recommendation.

    also I am so bad at keeping goals; I'll always disappoint myself, but I hate disappointing other people, so I like the idea of a personal relationship with a specific person to help me grow!! accountability WOOT!

    TBF the reason I don’t have any workout equipment is because I refuse to buy something that is just gonna collect dust, if I’m at the point where 20 body weight squats is nothing and I’m consistently working out then I’d have no problem buying something equipment

    • @air1fire
      @air1fire 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      It's kinda weird that the trainer says that cause there are squat variations that progress the difficulty beyond the full squat without equipment. For example you can put your feet closer together or hold your hand behind your back.

    Something I learned a couple of years ago after trying to get started on fitness at home for many years prior is that you need some sort of buy-in or your brain will reject it (because it's lazy). For me that was buying a membership at a gym that had trainers and a program and kept me accountable. It sucks, but it's what finally kept me on the workout wagon long enough for it to stick. I still fell off many times, but the cost of the gym and trainers and the fact they followed up asking if I was okay kept me coming back.
    Find yourself a good gym with a good community that aligns with your goals.

    Came to a new understanding some years ago after a pretty low-activity (lazy) winter. There was a hill/mountain (debatable) near my place and I decided to just attack it rather than respond to my initial body ughs and it felt like my body rose to the challenge and upped its capacity pretty quickly. Won't work for everybody, might not work the same for me after so many years, but that initial ugh, as long as it's not a "we will die" is just a sort of gear shift, at least it was for me

    I feel like I evolved when I moved from the normal exercises to "everyday exercise" or "beneficial exercise" like we call it here in Finland just by doing more stuff with my hands (and legs) Like Instead of using car to grocery store trip I'll walk or use bike. And instead of using power tools I might use hand tools.
    It's easier to find some beneficial exercises If you have your own house and yard and like garden, but if you don't have there is much of voluntary work around you which you can do. I did this kind of work in my previous rent house which was in shared property. I was like some kind of unpaid janitor which was ok.
    Normal exercise pushups etc. for me are like the last way to keep me in the (some kind of) shape. I almost never do that anymore.

    Once again, Nathanuel spreads a lot of misinformation and further demonstrates the he is not qualified as a trainer.

    • @soundscape26
      @soundscape26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have no idea about Nathaniel but with just a few exceptions, most products TH-camrs promote are either useless, overpriced or downright scams.
      Hopefully the Honey scandal will make people open their eyes and TH-camrs be more mindful of the junk they promote.

    • @neuroditective
      @neuroditective วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@soundscape26 I follow various PhD level sports scientists because I bodybuild as a hobby and I coach myself, meaning it's up to me to decide programming, exercise selection, everything. I'm obsessed with optimizing what I do because I want to get the most value out of the effort that I put in. So I follow a variety of influencers who are all PhD experts in the field of hypertrophy (growing muscle), people who stay current with the research data and/or perform the research themselves. The majority of the claims that Nathanuel makes in this video (and all of the other videos he's appeared in on Craig's channel) are not in alignment with the research and the understandings that the scientists are able to glean from the research. And he isn't just a little off, either. It seems like he probably earned whatever credentials he has back in the 90s when there was very little scientific research/understanding of hypertrophy training, and he hasn't bothered to learn where the science is at currently, hasn't bothered to improve or offer some actual value through the app Craig uses.
      I'm not trying to be rude, but look at Craig. He looks exactly the same as he did when he started doing this, like, four-ish years ago. He's built almost no muscle. Anyone with at least a rudimentary understanding of hypertrophy training best practices could point out multiple reasons why he hasn't grown muscle (personally, I could talk about it at length). But Nathanuel has Craig brainwashed into thinking "oh, well it just doesn't work for some people." It's bull s***. Nathanuel just really, really sucks at his job as a trainer. Craig could have grown a lot of muscle in the time frame that he's been using the app. But he hasn't because Nathanuel has convinced him that a training program that basically amounts to what a kid does when playing on the playground is a somehow a hypertrophy and/or strength building program.
      If you go through and watch all of the videos in this series (Craig shows them on the screen in this video at one point), you'll see how Craig goes from being really excited to changing his physique to quickly being resigned to this idea that "some people just can't grow muscle." Technically speaking, that is probably true for the rare human here and there, but I guarantee you that Craig is not one of these rare humans. Why? Because his trainer is grossly incompetent and at no point has Craig been producing adequate stimulus for muscle growth. If you watch the training videos he has on his second channel, it is painfully obvious why Craig is not growing muscle. People don't grow meaningful amounts of muscle doing the type of nonsense Nathanuel has Craig doing. Craig could probably start taking performance enhancing substances and still not grow any muscle, that's how ineffective Nathanuel's programming is. To be clear, I'm not trying to be insulting to Craig. I'm just trying to demonstrate how incredibly incompetent Nathanuel is as a trainer.
