- Me, at home in Bath, talking about going to America but not really saying anything interesting. I just wanted to upload something so that people could subscribe to the channel, haha. I'm also a bit tired, hence my lack of video blogging energy. I'll be more excited when I'm like, not in my bedroom.

A month ago I wouldn't have understood that last part. But since then I've watched Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. And it was spectacular! :D

Captain Hammer is the one who says that, and I can tell you that when he does, me and my friends were on the ground, laughing for about 5 minutes non-stop :D

Also got taken to the interigation room on my first trip to New York/America in general. They didn't even tell me why, just sat me on a chair and all had a discussion and stared at my passport and typed stuff into their computers. Plus i was on a school trip and nobody noticed i was missing so they'd all moved to a different bit of the airport... FUN times
i was watching this at night time i laughed at the end so hard that everyone woke up

I'm from America, but I went to Canada once and we were helping fix up a summer camp, as volunteers. However, they saw our tools and thought we were stealing Canadian jobs, I have experienced that same not so fun interrogation.
I went last year, it was a surreal experience, but ace. You will enjoy it! And the way you said "bastard" really highlighted your Britishness haha, not even I sound like that.. lol.

1.E3 is like a video game Expo where all the big companies reveal what they have lined up upcoming for the following year last couple of years of E3 have been quite lackluster but this year is supposed to be on the grand scale

I believe they have an open floor the day after the industry expo, but the event itself is industry only. Quite a few booths don't stop for the open floor, either, which sucks.
Or at least, that's how I remember it being the case in previous years. I don't think the policy has changed though, not that I'm at all up to date =P
$250 is enough for walking around money for four days, provided you're not counting your hotel in that figure. If you have a credit card, you shouldn't have any problem for funds. Also, if your debit card is sponsored by an international carrier like Mastercard or Visa, then you should be able to get cash at any ATM in the United States (my ATM card worked in Japan and Thailand, so you shouldn't have a problem).

I had a very similar experience when I went to Seattle. I had about $100 with me and the guy was like "WHAT!"
I then explained I was going to be looked after and awkwardly said "Don't worry, I'm not trying to illegally emigrate here, lol" (the lol was an awkward giggle I did to try and combat the terrifying look he gave me.)
I managed to talk my way out of an interogation though, no idea how, it was clearly my Essex-boy charm :P

I agree, american dollars do have an odd smell. And 250 should be fine, if anyone knows about high prices is the English.
hah you talking about the money reminded of me traveling to europe. I was in france for three months this summer using Euros and when I got back and started using dollars again it was like: "what is this stuff? monopoly money?!"
but taking extra cash is always good. If you take too much, you never need it, but when you take too little, something bad always happens, neh?

try going on planes with my dad. he always seems to book the flight for 7am and you have to get there an hour early and we like atleast half an hour away from the airport. argh way to early for me.

From what I saw thats not really a lot of money to be through out the entire E3 conference.
hes from england. one of the most expensive places to live in the world. i doubt he'll find america expensive lol compared to england. i believe the average house in over 200k which is like 350k USD.
when you get there take a nap and drink lotsa water. it works.

I'm slightly crushed that I live absolutely nowhere near LA. I don't recommend Pennsylvania anyway though, as there seem to be more cows than people here.

the british currency is called the pound. in my opinion, it looks better than american money, because it has colors and not just green, green and more green. :) hope it helped.

Oh man, Charlie. Canadian money is WAYYY better! It's colorful and pretty and you can ACTUALLY tell the bills apart! If you need to run out the door because, I don't know, you're late... Or robbing a bank, you just grab whatever color you need! Blue=5 Purple=10 Green=20 Pink=50 and Brown =100! So much easier!

$250 still isn't a lot of money though. It's probably just enough to get you through two days depending on where you're staying and how thrifty you're planning on being.
250$ will last u about maybe 2 days.. 1 day is ur going to an event like E3.. ull need atleast 750$ for the 3 day event and money for food.. food is expensive
