I agree with Shannon to a certain extent you can use the naysayers as motivation but when you’re OC tells you, you’re not a quarterback, you will not play. Milroe fortunate that he is no longer there.

I can totally understand what Unc and Ocho are talking about.
Some of family members and friends of the family told me I wasn’t going to be anything when I was a child. Never got into trouble but didn’t know what I wanted to do in life.
I used that motivation to put myself through college working 3 jobs.
Years later I have a very good career married and enjoying life.
Now the naysayers have to eat crow.
Moral of the story don’t let anyone deter you and used the negative words to your benefit and get strong b/c this world we live in can eat you alive if you allow it especially if you’re a black male in America.

I remember when the San Diego Chargers drafted James "Shack" Harris out of Grambling as a QB back in the day. It wasn't until Doug Williams came along that the doubters started taking notes. Then Mike Vick was the first number 1 taken in the draft. Today black QBs dominate the college game and the NFL. DOMINATE!!!! Lamar Jackson maybe this year's MVP. I don't see why not.

Who's to say jalen at the time was a subpar quarterback and because of Bill O'Brien's comments Jalen was so dedicated and unwilling to try another position that he just grinded in the lab so what he is today? I only ask that question because it's not uncommon for coaches to change a player's position between college to the NFL. We here tons of stories of wide receivers turned cornerback or vice versa or backs turning tight end.

As we currently no now it does travel without Tom Brady and some coaches are unable to coach certain gifts and talent. Bill O'Brien was the OC at Alabama because he ruined the Texans as a coach and GM. He was projecting his failures. He was that great of an OC with Bryce Young and that 2020 team at Alabama was loaded.

People are hurt by words because they don't have that self-belief or confidence in themselves either so they know it's true deep down. People with confidence, direction, a sense of purpose, etc. won't usually be hurt by words such as that. The only time I can kinda agree is when it's a close family member or maybe your partner of YEARS, I'm sure that can dig deep because some people will get very personal and disgusting with it. At the end of the day though, it comes down to you believing in yourself and loving yourself. After that happens, it doesn't matter what other people say. People only say shit like that out of spite and jealousy for what you got going on. They know they can't do what you do, so they wanna tear you down to their level. Once you learn the game, it's easy money.

You took what he said and made it about you. Talking about who cares. I don't get the take. Saban telling Diggs to change positions is not the same as, someone telling you to change but you don't, and now you're doing good.
