After tap changing vcb tripping sir what May be the reason sir please!!! Vcb not closing all relay restated and dc voltage ready for close. But not closing!!!! Only this happen after tap changing only!!! please
If in Tap on Secondary LV side then current goes high side more copper need and chance of high current. HV winding outside of the transformer and low current so easy to maintain Tap on this side
@@ashoksuluva3243 This 9a 9b 9c are all the same tap Nos. This is done to extend the Timing for Changing of Tap Positions in the selector and Diverter switch. This is done purely for Achieving Mechanical displacement movement in the tap changer
Every transformer has its Principle Tap as per its Incoming Voltage . This is designed by the Transformer Designing Engineer +5% to -5 % to +25% to -25% of the Voltage regulation. So the center Tap or Principle Tap differs from Xmer to Xmer

Superb sir.. thank you so much
Very good
👍 Thanks 👍👍👍👍
Thanks sir

Sir tap changer basically installed in LV side because arcing is reduced because of low voltage?
Thanks
Tap changer changes the turns of primary Winding or HV side of transformer...it installed at HV side
If in Tap on Secondary LV side then current goes high side more copper need and chance of high current.
HV winding outside of the transformer and low current so easy to maintain Tap on this side
POWER TRANSFORMER Tap is on HV SIDE.?
Absolutely correct OLTC HV side
Power transformer for example. Center tap is 9 but TF tap is 9a 9b 9c so which acual center tap
9b Normal
Sir please clearly tell me about 9a 9b 9c
@@ashoksuluva3243 tapping changes according to required load...to control voltage...so no common tap point

Tap is not situated in secondary it is always situated in primary side of transformer
Sir on load tag changing, which one side change, HV side or LV side????
Reply me sir
HV side..
You are saying tap changer will be installed in secondary side but we learnt that it will be connected to primary (HV)

As per instruction of SLDC
Sir in on load tap changer always installation in HV side
Absolutely correct OLTC HV side
Transformers TAP CHANGER will be always in the HV side.
