I would suggest you check out Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of sorrow, 2 games he is a protag in AND both games explain why he is a survivor legendary and not a killer legendary.
Damn, this is exactly why you don't try to portray anime to something realisticish. Also the issue with this chapter for me is -that they actually picked something that is NOT horror by default- , with same success you can add ULTRAKILL characters, V1 as killer and Gabriel as survivor :D Edit: Turns out, default Castlevanias are horrors. I mostly mean't that they unfitting, and picked V1/Gabriel because of them being robot and an angel lol

I'm not gonna question that (Really don't understand how someone can be scared of that, when you mostly given with kinda OP character), but still, the designs of characters are very unfitting :D With same success they could've went for any other animeish chars lol.

Castlevania is more simply platformer/action adventure with horror as a theme. Tho they did Tomb Raider which doesn't really lean to horror nor have it as the main theme.
