Phi was better when he had Revive Phoenix. After he acquired Hades and merged it with Phoenix to make Dread Phoenix, he just became insane and he lost his appeal. But I will say, as someone who wasn't a fan of Aiger, I did like that Phi was one of the few characters that humbled him.
I agree 200% with you, its looked like Phi lost his sanity and willpower after merging Hades and Pheonix. But he was more evil than ever, he gave the cruelest battles too.

Phi Kuromi is in-fact that he is *22* years old like, I thought he would be either 17 , 18 or hell even 19 at most! but 22. so does that mean even as a young or middle aged adult you can still beyblade battle no matter even if it was for kids around pre teens & teenagers and up! I always see people talking about aiger having plot armor (which I do agree with tbh) but then you have phi breaking every bey he comes across like its nothing with just a light asf frame attacking from the other side which is stupid. Hyde is better in every regard
understandable but you gotta realize Dead Phoenix was the heaviest bey at the time, and combine that with its dead armor being heavier than the revive armor, and the fact he uses the heavy armor to attack the other bey at high speeds with precision, AND the Dead Break being 10x more powerful then Phoenix Break, you get a bey thats more deadlier than Spriggan Requiem. Plot saved aiger.
