Lol my wife breaks her back when we go backpacking because she loves how comfortable it is. She’s hiked many miles with it

I think I will do the same 😂 Don‘t find an alternative with smaller packaging and the same comfort…

Feels like such a missed opportunity to not introduce this in a way that appeals to people who haven't been camping in a while. This video feels like it's only made for "Pro Campers" and those-in-the-know. As a regular person, I have no point of comparison between the Megamat and conventional sleeping bags, air pads, or anything. And I'm supposed to spend $250?
A better way to have done this video would have been to start by saying "Camping has come a long way recently. Previously, people had to rely on uncomfortable plastic air mattresses with no cushion at all. But now, a new generation of camping mattresses have arrived. The MegaMat 10 is an air hybrid mattress that takes the compactness of air, and adds in the comfort of modern foam, creating a mattress that's closer to your real bed than ever before." And then go into more details from there.
Despite looking at your site and this video, I still don't know what the difference is between a 1980s camping air mattress and your Megamats. I hope you'll do a comparison soon.

Hey Exped I just used the mat for camping and it was amazing! But, what is the best way to get the camp fire smoky smell out of it?

The best way to clean smells or stains out of our mats is to simply hand wash the fabric with soapy water. Any generic soft-soap like Dawn should work well. Feel free to get the mat wet or even spray it down with a hose, just make sure you have the valves closed to prevent any water from getting inside. Washing the mat in a shower or bathtub also works (though obviously that might not be practical for a mat this size). So long as you put the mat away dry (both inside and out), washing the mat/ temporarily getting the outside wet shouldn't damage the materials in any way.
After washing, air-drying is best, especially if you can position a fan to blow on to the mat to help speed up the process (no heaters though!). Leaving the valves open during the drying process will help air passively circulate through your mat to gradually dry out the inside if it got wet. If the climate allows for it where you live, it’s also fine to dry the mat outside on a sunny day so long as your mat isn’t out in the sun for too long (UV damage is a possibility long-term) or in too hot a climate. Valves should be left open when drying in the sun to let out any excess internal pressure from the heat of sun exposure.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know.

    'Exped MegaMat 10' in 197cm long are 65, 77 & then 125 cm widths.
There's a big gap at around 90 cm.
This is a common size in other brands but I'd very much prefer Exped.
Are there any plans to compliment your range and stock a size such as this?

Sadly we do not have any plans (at least at the time of writing this YT comment) for more sizes of MegaMat. Although we attempt to cover the widest range of customer needs we can with our mat sizes, our ability to manufacture various sizes of mats ultimately finite, and since there is no such thing as “one size fits all”, inevitably there will be customers whose needs aren’t covered by the sizes we offer. We apologize for that being the case here.

The worst thing about the megamat is the pump itself lol. You should just have a schnozzel bag with it instead. Especially if its something that someone puts away and deflates completely and not stored with air in it or the valve left open.
