    Astonishingly beautiful piece of music played with the heart by this young woman who for me has understood each and every nuance of Chopin's score. This beautiful rendition is like the water of life trickling over the soul bringing peace and a quietness to the heart of the listener (at least this listener!) I Hope Lise is still playing the piece these days .

    This young woman understands the early love felt by
    Chopin better than anyone..she lingers over movements, builds apprehension, expresses the gentleness!

    From the first seconds... This is, IMHO, one of greatest understandings of Chopin's love. I really like this tempo.... Thank you.

    Excellent. The extreme sensitivity between the pianist and the conductor talks immediately. In addition, a magic Chopin interpretation of Lise de La Salle. Great listening ! Thks all

    Unbelievably beautiful. Toward the very end..Bassoon going up while Lise de la Salle going down right there..so exquisite. All three movements are wonderful, w/ the 3rd being so rewarding.

    Lise de la Salle est une sorte "d'ange", dont le legato, le staccato, et le rubato, pour cette page si superbe composée par Chopin, sont à proprement parler exemplaires...

    Other pianist very difficult to learn any , either too quick , Chopin can not talk loving poet to a girl , thus real quickness means nothing , her tempo really making you feel right on with steadiness , thus these expressed Chopin talking with piano notes with breath changes and emotion changes , great , finding the bison player he could be one. Of the best in world just one with piano thus he also played instrumental partial concerto

    To the comment a few lines below, no it is NOT too slow at all. It is just right. When a woman that beautiful plays a piece of music that beautiful, however she interprets it is just right. Didn't you learn that in kindergarten? Anyhow, from about 8:59 to the end of the piece is the most beautiful secular music ever written by a human being---especially when the bassoon and piano meet at, I believe, D flat.

    @10:04, I think the oboeist made a mistake or lost his breath or something, but the pianists interpretation was beautiful, kinda reminded me of Rubenstein in that they both care for each and every note

  • @J-Called
    @J-Called 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    My bad . . . reading the score, I see that the piano and bassoon meet on the F key in the subdominant chord of D flat major.

    Surfing the Web last night, I found this extremely romantic interpretation of Chopin - Piano Concerto No. 2.2nd Mov.
    It is the slowest interpretation I had ever experienced.
    It is too slow.
    It should be a “Larghetto”, 60 RPM.
    But!! It is Chopin.
    The beautiful pianist and orchestra handled the “Lento-ic Larghetto” so smoothly, keeping the strain of romantic, to avoid being insipid.
    I listen to it several rounds.
    It is a very good ending of a day. Thanks!!

    • @J-Called
      @J-Called 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As I said in a comment above, it is not too slow, it is just right. One person's Larghetto is another person's Lento. And, even if it were too slow, why then did the conductor allow the slowness if it is so wrong? Again, if a beautiful woman is playing a beautiful piece of music, a critical comment is gauche and entirely out of place. Or, to borrow and alter a phrase from the BBC series, "I Claudius . . ." : Isn't how expressively she plays the piece more important than how long it takes her to play it?
