Doctor Weil: Zero's Final Hour
Difficulty: Medium
It all comes down to this... Zero against the catalyst behind ALL the events that have occurred in the Zero series from the Elf Wars up to now. Time to put an end to it all and save the world!
RIP Chikao Otsuka: Voice of Dr Weil.
Oh shit, I didn’t realize he died.
@@TheSixteen60 he was also the japanese voice actor of Dr. Eggman
The job this guy did to bring this bastard to life was amazing.
Big Boss in MGS4 too!
And also he was the original Japanese voice of gold roger in one piece too. :(
I love how Zero finally discovers what he's fighting for in this game. It's full circle in a really subtle and awesome way.
So what _is_ Zero fighting for?
_"I have always only fought for the people I believe in. I will not hesitate... If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!"_
Honestly with how his image song "Clover" does hint that he has vague memories of his past, particularly Iris, this means he finally did make peace with his past, even fulfilling Willy's original wish for his creation to be a hero
@@nhacker2242 I always thought Wily wanted Zero to wreck havoc, not be a hero
@@MosiahWhite He wanted Zero to surpass Light's Greatest Creation, Megaman, Willy never knew about X, and Megaman 11 reveals Willy originally wanted his creations to be seen as Hero's, which creates some irony Dr. Light's creations would never attempt to kill or do Harm to a Human, yet in killing Weil(a Human) Zero put an end to the War that had essentially been going on since When he and X were Hunters
Weil: “Hmm… one of those enemies you destroyed has been waiting for you for centuries. Too bad you won’t go to the same place that “it” went…”
Zero: “How dare you! She is someone I believe in, and if I return to her, THEN SO BE IT!!!!”
Zero in X4: "What am I fighting for?"
Zero in Zero 4: "This is what I'm fighting for."
All of this happened just because an old guy is jealous of his rival
All this because Wily's double gear system was his tipping point.
@@wiffmastermase and all THIS is because Weil was incapable of taking "No" for an answer when his plan was rejected for how to use the Mother Elf.
@@lucinavonnolaran8728 "Moral errors, neural degredation in the organic brain. It's the exact thing that gives mortals the ability to be human but can also be their greatest weakness." :)
@@lucinavonnolaran8728can anyone else see this as a flashpoint? Y’know? Where reality shifts just a tiny bit, but enough for shit like this to happen?
Wily definitely would have a bone to pick with Weil...
"DO YOU SEE THIS PAIN?! YOU WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND IT!!!"
- Dr. Weil
I think he’s in pain because he’s trapped in a world with no Nature for ever. He says that’s why he was so evil... I wonder if Weil was always evil or if he became that way after watching Nature and the earth die.
I guess Weil in a realistic sense may be a victim as well. And it seemed like zero knew it. It looked like zero wanted to save him but Weils mind was too far gone and the both died fighting eachother. The real villain was not Weil it was the human race for destroying the earth. Weil wily sigma, all victims of circumstance and their evil bled into the next...,
Not to mention Weils final form looks like a robotic plant... if you think I’m lying look up skunk cabbage roots!!! I wonder if he cared about Nature. I think he tried to destroy what was left to make the people feel what they made him feel...
@@zacharykenniston748
Weil is the reason the world is like that though. He very hate for Reploids led to him starting the devastating Elf Wars and unleashing Omega who slaughtered countless humans and reploids alike. *And he even claimed he enjoyed the chaos.*
While he younger years are still unknown it's safe to say that he truly is a madman that needs to be put down for good.
True, but the world he destroyed was clearly robotic already. That’s probably wh he so hated it... I’m guessing that’s why he hates the reploids... but yes he is insane and needed to die for the worlds sake AND for his own...
I have a feeling "Dr Weil" was supposed to originally be Dr. Wily they had teased him being alive and the back story sounds exactly how Dr. Wily would have survived and since this game marked the end of Zero it would be fitting for Zero to end things with Wily
Indeed it would be, Im surprised these games were not popular. Weil, Copy X, and Omega were the some of the best villains Ive ever seen.
I also thought weil was an undead dr wily!
They’ve confirmed that Weil is not Wily and never was in an interview.
It was confirmed that weil’s name was originally going to be vile but in the Japanese release it stayed vile but everywhere else it was changed to Weil because we already have a vile. Lol lot of ile
Probably a relative of dr. Albert Wiley
People seriously sleep on "Not quite alive... Not quite dead... Forever by my side!" Genuinely chilling quote.
Anyone else come back to this to see Dr. Weil's face?
That scene traumatized me my entire childhood hence I used to hate megaman zero lol
I hear you there.
Wait you had nightmares? Pfff
Damn I can see why, good thing I first played these games this year
Dr. Well’s creepy face reminds me of The Coachman from Disney’s Pinocchio.
Goosebump inducing epicness. Freaking brilliant. Weil's last stand and the reploid to take him out is not x its zero.
Dr. Weil's creeepy face reminds me of the Coachman from Disney's Pinnochio.
I didn't think it'd be possible to make a boss fight as good as Omega in this series, but this comes very close to doing so.
Definitely
Out of all the villains voiced by the late Chikao Otsuka, Dr. Weil is far most pure evil villains we gamers have seen voiced by him
Oh wow, he was voiced by Big Boss!?
@Ph4ntom0 yep
Zero's final speech coupled with the song always pumps me up!
5:13 I am the Devil! (actually there's an alternate translation which says "I am the never ending nightmare!")
I always felt that Zero was a kind of Jesus figure
Given what he's done, he certainly comes close
@@redjirachi1 His story is a narrative about Redemption... He starts as a destructive machine, but dies saving the world.
Let us not forget the religious symbolism, such as X's robe or the famous line uttered By Omega: "Ware wa Messiah Mari!"
@@Echidnai Omega actually said "Ware wa meshia nari !" Also, Omega's A.I. was made using a small sample of Maverick Virus
@@goldenguest778the_real Well, Messiah and "Meshia" are very closet
in pronunciation.

Dr. Weil's creepy face reminds me of the Coachman from Disney's Pinocchio.
zero 4 because it´s a return to the retro megaman
It's chilling how much more wicked Dr. Weil is than Sigma simply because he's humanly capable of it.
Ciel....Believe in me. 😭😭😭
4:52 I never cared about justice, and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero... I have always only fought for the people I believe in. I won't hesitate... if an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!
so badass
0:28: Dr. Weil's creepy face reminds me of the Coachman from Disney's Pinochcio. ("They never come back... as BOYS!!!")
OMG Dr. Weil's face is looks like the Coachman.
I think this guy would be besties with Thanos.
10 años y sigo llorando
Zero is freakin' badass!
mmz3 is kinda sad cause the real X (its real body) get destroye and his spirit vanish
and X/Zero are such a great duo :'( but still Worth to be called a megaman series much better than the 7-8
It's been so looong. I wished they would come back or revive... in a new game
X and Zero’s spirit lives on as the Model X and Z Biometals of the Megaman ZX games.
X's original body gets destroyed in Zero 2, though.
Megaman X8 wasn't that bad,miles better than X7
Am I the only one who finds this boss almost impossibly hard? The first form is a decent challenge but the second part is just painful to get through.
Espially with the strict time limit of just 2 minutes.
Despite the time limit, you really have to be patient in this boss fight. The Axe Subweapon really helps as it inflicts a fuckton of damage to Weil. It kinda makes this boss fight trivial.
@@misteralien8313 most of us miss it on the first run unfortunately
I like how Zero essentially tells Asimov's first rule to go fuck itself, even after Weil tries to hide behind it. Something that Wily can make but Light cannot (heh, Wily finally proves his superiority over Light, years after the deaths of both). IIRC, Wily said something similar in one of the later Megaman Classic games, causing Megaman to auto-stop, letting Wily escape.
“Are we all, Mavericks after all?”
200+ years later.
“You know what… we really are Mavericks after all, Iris, and I’m fine with that.”
The preservation of the life of the planet > the life of a miserable old man that wants to destroy it.
That's no maverick. That's heroic and noble. Though it also has a high price.
Didn't X also has true freewill and that's why he was put into hibernation to learn morality before X series started?
@@NeinKyori th-cam.com/video/0ywpACZjthU/w-d-xo.html Apparently, it was just because Dr. Light felt that he wouldn't live long enough to see the project to completion.
Considering how Zero was pretty much more of a robot master with an actual programming, yeah, wily managed to create a robot able to circumvent asimov's laws when even Megaman was programmed to follow. Bet wily would be legit proud to see his final creation not only outlive megaman's successor but also destroy a perfect copy of said successor. I guess the old bitter man can now finally rest
Welp. At least he made a good sacrifice
Zero will always be my favorite ❤️ RIP
what a god damn ending!!!
Weil is continuing what Wily should have started
To this guy he Dr Wiely
all humans died because of dr wiely
I wonder how this ties into Legends
ShaDHP23 according to tvtropes, there might be a loose connection between the "elysium perfect peaceful world" mentioned by megaman in one of the endings for X5 and the "elysium ancient colony" seen in megaman legends 2.
Keep in mind that X5 was originally supposed to be the end of the X series and tiny bits from x6 onwards confirms that megaman zero comes after everything, even X8.
legends could fit on a timeline where the stuff that lead to megaman zero never happened and x finished his elysium.
Well, you see a Refractor powering a factory in the background of Zero 3 and Reaverbot Eyes decorating the walls of some ruins as well.
Old comment Mfs here didn't played zx series
@@Ale-Y I was poor, man.

Wow, that axe sure its op
It's basically the third slash of the saber but with more recovery, if you can only land single slashes at a time, it's best to use either that or charged saber
Yeah guys that's me Dr fanel fabien wiel and that's my brother Michael Jackson mega man zero
What is the clock at the right corner for?
Time Limit
If you dont defeat him in 2 minutes, ragnarok smashes area zero
It’s a timer, I think if you run out of time you have to start the fight all over again
Superman 64 gimmick.
Zero = Samurai Jack
Dr. Weil = Aku
So many memories..
You know replies are an inevitable event in the future remember
Got 999 wario y inc skateboard kid ...thanks fanel fabien I'm Dr wiel yeah
My show 100 time
What if he is really Willy?.
That's impossible. If that was the case, Wily would have enacted some big plan just to extend his life to this point.
@@MegamanNG he already had a plan to incorporate himself into the Sigma virus and use bodies (such as Serges and Isoc) to sustain his life, but the Mother Elf had stopped Sigma (and in turn, Dr. Wily) from returning.
No, because his name in the original Japanese was supposed to be Dr. _Vile_ but because the robot named Vova (yes, Star Wars reference to a certain bounty hunter, like a bantha) was name-changed to Vile in the English release, that ended up having a ripple effect, changing Dr. Vile's name.
@@DarkAdonisVyers v and w are kinda similar letter, i agree anyway 😆
Maybe Capcom waiting for inafune to sell all the rights so they could make Dr Weil to Dr wily cannon. The story would of been light years better had he faced his creator in his finale
2:18
Wiel destroying the world even through death first omega second the dark elf third resurrected omega than copy x then ragnorock and last model w but who is the real villain wiel or... ciel she caused all of this just with two actions zero and x those two left this world first zero then x but ciel "needed" their help and that only lead to more death and destruction sure zero was able to stop them but lives were taken by craft and wiel just because of his existence so think about it was zero really worth all of this oh and serpent would've been actually helping with no thirst for power and though grey wouldn't of been created ashe wouldn't of lots her father Albert so ciel was the cause of years of pain zerothegod here and I'm here to say ciel is not in the right here goodbye
Not really. Ciel was tasked with creating Copy X. It was not a decision she came about all by herself. Also, if Ciel had never awakened Zero than the Resistance most likely would’ve eventually been wiped out and Ciel would’ve never solved the world’s energy crises, which would’ve led to more Reploids being retired en mass and most likely an eventual collapse of Neo Arcadia’s civilization due to the ever present energy crisis and always growing human population, resulting in numbers of casualties that far exceeds what happened in the actual canon.
0:28
Dr. Weil's creepy face reminds me of the Coachman from Disney's Pinocchio.
Then it's fault of Light!
zerothegod You can't really qualify Ciel as a villain because of some bad decisions she made, unlike Weil who was willingly being evil out of sheer hate, madness and frustration.
He wanted to exact revenge on the world. Ciel just wanted to help it, with her kind heart.
