Having once, way back in HS, played the Very Model Of a Modern Major General in our production of Pirates of Penzance, and mastering the really, REALLY rapid words of this hilarious piece (as a native German no less!) was truly both a challenge and delight. OMG, I had, after all 27 daughters . . .
But, I'm digressing. I'm a proud UU in the heart of Mexico in sunny San Miguel. Although an ordained Presbyterian minister, after attending the UUF here for several months, I came to the realization that I've been a UU ALL MY F'g LIFE!!
So now you're Unitarian, no longer Presbyterian, and though you once were German, you're now known as an American. *music in background*
OoPs, I meant... you are now known as a Mexican.

As a member of the First Parish UU church in Concord, Massachusetts, I feel like I know these people, in their Priuses, listening to NPR.

Hello from a quadgenerian 20+ year UU near Cleveland. My monogenerian firstborn was born UU watched this over my shoulder and now wants to share it with his public school friends as well as his UU Youth D&D group that has been meeting via Zoom since they met at GA 2020. Well done and we're happy to light our flames from such worthy elders.

FYI: These Modern Unitarians were host to the very first Transgender Day of Remembrance held in Salt Lake City, way back in 2002. Welcoming, accepting, and affirming since before it was cool. Thanks, y'all~!!!
God loves every human, but that does not mean that he supports or ignores a life style that is against His laws... but if you do not have a Bible that probably doesn't matter. So, perhaps there were UU's in downtown Sodom!

Unitarian Universalists allow people like myself into their congregation. I'm an Atheist and we all get along. This is the way society should be.
My partner is Unitarian, and even though I'm an atheist now, being adjacent to her church has helped heal a lot of the trauma I got from my evangelical upbringing. The message a week or two ago was about how a lot of "religious, but not spiritual" people are drawn to their church--people who like the community, the traditions, and the support, but have zero interest in anything having to do with god or spirituality.
My husband is Ex-Mormon and I am recovering Christian. We love our UU church!
You won’t regret it!
If I publicize this I think membership would rise! Our church has had a membership hovering around 60 for years, and we're aging and fear the church will close within the next 20 years.

This is Becky Heal, the producer, and director and our King-Crimson-t-shirt-wearing contrarian (who is very much a contrarian) is Bill Reed, a painter. He is singing in front of one of his paintings that graces our copy room. I'll tell him that there is an Ohioan who is as hip as he is. He won't believe me. He is a contrarian.
I was very into King Crimson back in - I think the 80s? So it was fun to see his t-shirt after all these decades and a good reminder.
This video was shown at a talent show at our UUCD church in Duluth, MN, and we were on the floor laughing. Truth in laughter. Thank you so much to our loving UU's in Salt Lake City? Wow! We really are everywhere!
