During our childhood 11:00am was the radio time, don't remember what was the prg name, but yes everyone used to finish their work, cleaning, washing, bathing, filling water etc. and every home tuned to radio. Our residence was a 3 storied building, all house lined with common veranda. Municipal water supply was off at 11, hence it was chaotic till then (common bathroom & toilets) and of course all members, children need to bath, washing etc and suddenly all activities in every house used to cease and beautify music was heard all over... same Vividh Barathi channel & same song everywhere... this was a mark of end of morning exhaustive running around and then peacefully hearing these OLD SONGS. It was then i heard all v v v old songs like Udan Khatola movie and Saigal which my grand pa loved.. it reminded all his young days time... which perhaps was left behind in Karachi. These songs take me back to those memory lane... which is difficult to experience now, as we do have choice to select what we want to hear, so all the excitement to wait for next unknown song has disappeared completely.

Indeed a stress reliever
During our childhood 11:00am was the radio time, don't remember what was the prg name, but yes everyone used to finish their work, cleaning, washing, bathing, filling water etc. and every home tuned to radio. Our residence was a 3 storied building, all house lined with common veranda. Municipal water supply was off at 11, hence it was chaotic till then (common bathroom & toilets) and of course all members, children need to bath, washing etc and suddenly all activities in every house used to cease and beautify music was heard all over... same Vividh Barathi channel & same song everywhere... this was a mark of end of morning exhaustive running around and then peacefully hearing these OLD SONGS. It was then i heard all v v v old songs like Udan Khatola movie and Saigal which my grand pa loved.. it reminded all his young days time... which perhaps was left behind in Karachi. These songs take me back to those memory lane... which is difficult to experience now, as we do have choice to select what we want to hear, so all the excitement to wait for next unknown song has disappeared completely.
Beautiful song! Masterpiece!! It’s interesting to realize how far have we moved from when the focus was women not speaking up( and outcome was this pretty poetry piece) to now. We have miles to go still.
