Awesome! You found the Blackhawk Films and the UMC logo with jingle (got mine from "Glen and Randa") Thank you and congratulations for this great compilation!
It takes a fair amount of time to both gather and sort through tapes & recordings, so it is a progressive thing as there are other more important demands in daily life.
The earliest one I remember personally is the "spinning reels" opening from the 1970s, clips of which can be found here on YT. Earlier than that I haven't seen myself.
***** My guess: Black is the easiest color to make the logo "pop out," and a starfield is the easiest way to get a little bit of extra life into the background, so you're not just stuck with plain black.
Also consider: Mass-market videos were THE NEW THING back then, so a lot of video companies made bold, futuristic logos. Since "space = futuristic," it makes sense to put them on a starfield background.

Kinda fun to watch, especially when they bring back memories. Most of them I don't think I've seen before.
Nice to see The Children's Film Foundation at the end there. Makers of the legendary Sammy's Super T-Shirt!
Eventually yes, though it won't be happening for some time.
No, it is completely different.

Do you have the NBC Night At The Movies open from the late 60s- early 70s? Lots of flashing bulbs, like at a movie premiere. Symphonic music.

Thanks. this one looked like a movie premiere with lots of flashing light...probably late 60s then. Someone's got the audio posted here.
Do you have the Expanded Entertainment logo somewhere in any of these compilations? If so, which one?
ALRIGHT ALREADY! WHENS THE DAMN MOVIE GOING START?!
3:02 I can faintly hear the USA Home Video logo
Is the Pan-Canadian logo the same one for Aspen Film Society?
No, they are different companies. Aspen Film Society was founded by Steve Martin.
I know the Feature Films for Families logo. One film I know they did was "The Giant of Thunder Mountain".
Part 14 follows the next update.
Cineplex Odeon is just... Space adventures, final boss level... :-D

WHY ARE SO MANY OF THEM ON A SPACE BACKGROUND?

Nicholas Tosoni Makes sense. There are just sooo many with a space background though
