Everything you said I agree with yet again, my favourite photos of Aaliyah are from the 2000's and its *crazy* how she had such a huge evolution from OIAM to the red album. And yes! I feel like whenever someone that knew Aaliyah speaks on her in an interview, it's off, especially Timbaland and Missy. When it comes to her music on streaming or releasing her unreleased music.

I got your point here, a lot of ppl are tight lipped and tight fisted when it comes to Aaliyah and any items related to her legacy. Just watched a video of a woman who worked for hot 97 and the evil skit that was done 2 days after Aaliyah passed by 2 men who worked there. This was a real plot that was carried out not just against her life but against her legacy. Lets pray more ppl start to speak out and her energy is increased so the truth can come out and everyone's vibration is liberated and raised because of it
Nope. I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. It IS weird-ass energy. Which only makes me feel like there's some kind of INDUSTRY/HOLLYWOOD-WIDE secret about her that everybody knows that we don't. Like...some "higher power" keeping everyone hushed up and afraid to talk about her. ESPECIALLY in a positive light. It's like it's lowkey by DESIGN to make people talk negatively about HER because that's the ONLY shit that's allowable online! If you try to love and honor and cherish her legacy. Well, you see how even AALIYAH'S ACTIAL ESTATE went after people like AMORPHOUS for that documentary, etc....it IS very, very weird, unexplained energy and it's a WHOLE SHAME.
I love you Tony Turner are shedding light! Trust I’m a content creator and I’m learning about the music industry Chile it’s crazy. I follow Eric Seats the producer of Rock The Beat he is so sweet, he talked about Aaliyah on her birthday it was beautiful. I’m going to try to interview him for my show
And also if all her music is out... It loses value..n remember she can't make more... Kinda like diamonds. Diamonds aren't worth anything..so the hide most of them n sell them for high value because certain people made them rare... Google it if confused
You know tony, this is an interesting topic i would love to see you cover, i like artists of all races, i want that first to be known. But, as i started remastering old music videos on my channel, i started noticing the biggest artists like whitney houston, michael jackson, prince, billy ocean, new edition, bobby brown, earth wind and fire, aaliyah the list goes on, many of these black artists dont have 4k versions of their videos like an artist like elvis presley. Im also noticing with sitcoms like sanford and son, living single, hangin with mr cooper, the steve harvey show, roc, many of these black shows do not have a bluray we as fans can get our hands on. THIS FEELS LIKE A CONSIPIRACY with black artists, actors, actresses not having high quality versions of their material available.
I use to think that was a Diane and Michael thing....**them talking to the photographers** But i know about release forms etc so i dispelled that quickly......And i was gonna buy that shirt too!!!!! Ugggghhhhh!!!!!!
These photographers and interviewers and video shows who have all this rare footage are holding out cause they all want money smh. Aaliyah estate not going for it. Same with 2pac
Everything you said was on point! 👏🏽💯 Based on my own experiences and other fans I know in the community, there are a lot of photographers who are very petty when it comes to Aaliyah. They literally just use her name in vain for clout, and merely view her as a product to sell as appposed to keeping her legacy alive. A while back I messaged Eric Johnson personally for his permission to use his images out of my own kindness and respect for his craft, but he literally blanked me, which I found very rude. I understand he doesn't have to share certain images, but if that's the case, why gloat about it intentionally? 🤷🏽♀️ The whole basis of being a photographer is to share your photography for those to see. And if photographers are that pressed, they should just watermark their work! Problem solved!
@@TonyTurner Amen! It's made me view certain photographers in a different light now. Don't get me wrong though, there are some genuinely nice photographers too, and you can tell they have a passion and love for what they do, even wanting to share rare gems with the fans. E.g- Mike Miller who recently shared some lovely outtakes of Tupac. I'm not even mad about not seeing any rare pics from him, that's fine with me. I'm more annoyed at how he behaved towards other fans. You can't expect the fans to be nice, when you come at them with such a negative, rude attitude. At the end of the day Aaliyah had many other photographers who photographed her, not just him. He needs to humble himself, his ego and his pride. This whole 'entitlement' attitude needs to stop. We barely get enough as it is as Aaliyah fans, and I feel like every other fanbase gets fed a full course meal, whilst we're just left with the scraps, crumbs and leftovers. More needs to be done for Aaliyah's legacy, and only we as fans do right by her name.
Hey, Tony, Thanks for the information I didn't even know about Aaliyah. Wonder what she thinks of them? Very curious. Keep up the great work and content.
Wen I saw the topic I already knew who u was referring to 😂😂I can’t stand Eric Johnson now he’s such a damn snake 🐍 I hope that Jonathan Mannion isn’t like him so far Jon and David are my faves n Albert Watson Eric can eat dirt n kick rocks Aaliyah would not want her photographers to behave in that rude manner if she was still here can’t believe that he went off like that tho
EXACTLY holding on to her for their last bit of relevance. Jonathan Mannion seems to be the most reasonable but I wonder why Rashad and him haven't collaborated yet?
Us as the fans we want to see Unreleased Aaliyah pics so bad...but sometimes we expect too much from Rashad and The Photographers, and the producers, I think at the end of the day Barry has the final say so on a lot of stuff, Rashad is just her brother he doesn't own her images, music, etc. He probably Kept using the same 4 pics because that's all he could afford to buy, not saying that's the case but im sure if it's in his power he would do a whole lot more....its a lot behind the scenes the fans don't understand...and as far as the Photographers yes they do get clout for being Aaliyahs last Photographers, so quite naturally they are going to use that to their advantage...as they should but I don't agree with them dangling a sneak peek pic and then getting mad when fans want yo ask questions
They super stingy but I always put myself in they shoes it would probably be really hard for me to revisit those moments and see those photos let alone release em all
I have to really like an Aaliyah shirt to buy it I'm not just buying it because its Aaliyah otherwise I'll make my own...I'm too cheap to pay that money for a bland Aaliyah shirt...
Some photographers are unprofessional. They shouldn't be using her legacy for clout. Taking pictures should be professional and the model should feel comfortable.
I believe that her family is in control of her estate if any so the family would have the say of anyone releasing her pics ...it’s usually money involved...to see who is willing to pay the most ...she was just a person no one should be put on a pedestal...it is what it is
Honestly David LaChapelle is the only Aaliyah photographer that I can stand the other ones refuse to perpetuate her legacy how embarrassing and childish.
I don’t understand why every time us the fans ask about requests or want something from Aaliyah her estate and others who worked with her in the industry act so fucking secret 🤐 it ridiculous how we have to literally beg and pray to god that they release something from our baby girls it’s like they don’t want her legacy to evolve into the greatnesses we all know it will be I feel at times that they don’t want Aaliyah to be known to the new generation because of her positivity passion impact kindness and beauty that she exudes in everything that she does it makes me so angry 😤 how they continue to treat her legacy and us her fans she loved us so much like her own family and we loved her it’s just pisses me off I wish I had enough money to buy her whole fucking estate because I would I hate that they are holding on to the last of Aaliyah we need to be able to see what she leery behind
@@TonyTurner it really doesn’t she definitely wouldn’t want her legacy held back because of people and their egos but I guess it will be up to us her fans to keep her legacy alive in our own unique way until they wanna release things from her I also saw there’s another bogus ass movie being made about Aaliyah the girl looks nothing like Aaliyah it’s so distasteful and disrespectful have you seen the movie poster
Well a lot of the Aaliyah fans bully the photographers. You can’t tell them what to do wit their art. Yes I love seeing her outtakes and all, but respect the photographers.
@Lemme C. I didn't include all the screenshots of his posts in the video, but all the fans were fine not thinking about them. He posted a teaser....then got mad everyone was asking...then kept being rude in his replies to simple questions. I mean I explained it in the video, I also said i don't condone that but he got the same energy he was giving out.
Jonathan Mannion not only took pictures of AALIYAH, he took pictures of DMX, Jay-Z, BIG. DMX for Flesh Of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood, Jay-Z wit Reasonable Doubt, BIG wit the crown on his head.
At This Point ... & Forgive If I Go To Far, But at this point I’m giving everyone that worked with her or got to know her a side eye. More things that come out in regards of her career and how everyone doing her make me feel as if they had something to do with her transition. Like if you all have so much love and admiration for bbygirl and so heartbroken of her not being here, after all these years you would think to not dismiss her legacy when her fans asked questions. It’s obvious she’s not here to speak for herself. So It’s flat out disrespectful and led me to think everyone around her failed her & she did nothing to make y’all turn on her but transition, like wtf.
This is one reason I loved Eric Ferrell (RIP). He was so kind and open in sharing about Aaliyah and answering questions.

Well, you see how even AALIYAH'S ACTIAL ESTATE went after people like AMORPHOUS for that documentary, etc....it IS very, very weird, unexplained energy and it's a WHOLE SHAME.
RIGHT. It's real OFF. But I notice for Selena, Biggie and Tupac...no such off energy exists with their estate.🤔
Exactly you tell it like it is.
💯💯💯💯💯
I love you Tony Turner are shedding light! Trust I’m a content creator and I’m learning about the music industry Chile it’s crazy. I follow Eric Seats the producer of Rock The Beat he is so sweet, he talked about Aaliyah on her birthday it was beautiful. I’m going to try to interview him for my show
Wow. Thank You!!! I'll be looking forward to seeing it 💯👀
@@TonyTurner anytime my page midnight RnB edition
Love your videos please make more
Thank You ‼
There’s going to be a boom box releasing on her birthday this Saturday. Just like they Selena may they both rest in paradise.
Oh yeah....I seen that. I wonder which pic they will use
And also if all her music is out... It loses value..n remember she can't make more... Kinda like diamonds. Diamonds aren't worth anything..so the hide most of them n sell them for high value because certain people made them rare... Google it if confused
Great analogy 👌🏾
Can you react to back in one peace by dmx and Aaliyah
Sure!!!!
Interesting 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I use to think that was a Diane and Michael thing....**them talking to the photographers** But i know about release forms etc so i dispelled that quickly......And i was gonna buy that shirt too!!!!! Ugggghhhhh!!!!!!
I was thinking about buying it too...but I didn't like his attitude and I see he took it off his website
@@TonyTurner But i think the best shirt well in this case long sleeve was Damon Dash airbrushed shirt on Song Cry
they need to realese all unseen picture😭
HOPEFULLY One Day!!!
I love your Aaliyah t-shirts! Where do you get them?
Thank You!!! I got this one from PacSun.com and others from UrbanOutfitters.com
@@TonyTurner Thankyou!!
I highly doubt the photographers knew it would be aaliyah last pics they were taking
Yeah but they know that now
What's yall favorite Aaliyah photoshoot ???
Wow ew, he is the entitled one...he really projected his emotion on that person...
These photographers and interviewers and video shows who have all this rare footage are holding out cause they all want money smh. Aaliyah estate not going for it. Same with 2pac
All I know is it’s money smh...
Yup 🤦🏾♂️
EXACTLY!!! He and the others gonna get enough of acting like that
@@TonyTurner Amen!
@Aaliyah Archives FACTS!!!
Hey, Tony,
Thanks for the information I didn't even know about Aaliyah.
Wonder what she thinks of them? Very curious.
Keep up the great work and content.
Thank You!!!
I love your shirt, where did you get your shirt from?
Thank You!!! I got this from PacSun.com
💯💯💯
They super stingy but I always put myself in they shoes it would probably be really hard for me to revisit those moments and see those photos let alone release em all
I can see that. But I been watching him over the last few years and I can see he definently gets a kick out of teasing Aaliyah fans with those pics
@@TonyTurner yea its hella lame too
I have to really like an Aaliyah shirt to buy it I'm not just buying it because its Aaliyah otherwise I'll make my own...I'm too cheap to pay that money for a bland Aaliyah shirt...
Some photographers are unprofessional. They shouldn't be using her legacy for clout. Taking pictures should be professional and the model should feel comfortable.
Exactly!!! He gives off clout chaser vibes
@@TonyTurner I dislike clout chasers when it comes to certain things.
🗣🗣🗣
@@TonyTurner not to mention Mac used HIS photos for the AaliyahXMac collab
AGREE!!! It makes no sense for them to act like that
@@TonyTurner it really doesn’t she definitely wouldn’t want her legacy held back because of people and their egos but I guess it will be up to us her fans to keep her legacy alive in our own unique way until they wanna release things from her I also saw there’s another bogus ass movie being made about Aaliyah the girl looks nothing like Aaliyah it’s so distasteful and disrespectful have you seen the movie poster
Thank u!!!!!!!
Question Tony don't he get paid whenever he release her pictures?? or he don't get paid when he post her pictures
Most likely. He charges whenever her pictures are professionally used.
@@TonyTurner oh ok thank you I can stop watching you♀🤦🏾I be up all night watching you🤣🤣
@@funfriendsfamilyforever1325 Thank You 🤩😁
Well a lot of the Aaliyah fans bully the photographers. You can’t tell them what to do wit their art. Yes I love seeing her outtakes and all, but respect the photographers.
True but in this case Eric was purposely teasing them and then got annoyed when ppl kept asking. Like why tease in the first place?
Tony Turner why are the Aaliyah fans cursing him out and harassing him for pics?
We need one
I want your shirt lol 😍😍

Jonathan Mannion not only took pictures of AALIYAH, he took pictures of DMX, Jay-Z, BIG. DMX for Flesh Of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood, Jay-Z wit Reasonable Doubt, BIG wit the crown on his head.
True and he seems more laxed about it which is why I didn't really focus on him but Eric Johnson on the other hand...😳
Factssssss

At This Point ... & Forgive If I Go To Far,
But at this point I’m giving everyone that worked with her or got to know her a side eye.
That's how I'm feeling!!! Been like that for a while. It's sad to witness
Good stuff man
Thanks bro!!!
