Marco, it looks like the publishers heard you! In November, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood of Venice is coming to Kickstarter using V-Commandos mechanics!
It reminds me to Commandos (1. 2 and especially 3), the video game saga by Spanish development studio "Pyro Studios". I point it out in the case that somebody is interested in trying it out, it is the same concept and theme. Commandos 3 is from 2003 but I think it still holds up thanks to the gameplay, so maybe if you like V-Commandos, you may be interested in giving a video game such as "Commandos 3: Destination Berlin" a try.
Absolutely loved the commandos series. One of my favourite genres. Have you tried desperados, or the new game Shadow tactics: Blades of the Shogun?Also if you are interested there is a great mod for Commandos 2 called Destination Paris. This boardgame also reminded me of the series, a fact that might persuade me to get v-Commandos.
I haven't had the opportunity to play Desperados, but I have played Shadow Tactics. I didn't know about the COmmandos 2 mod, but maybe when I have some time to play video games I'll take a look at it xD

The significant characteristic which this game offers to the gaming world is its "Stealth" mode of gameplay. Striving to keep your characters in a stealthy in order to successfully achieve your objective is a HUGE element which sets this game apart. Yet you never really drove that home till you got to your comments. And even then, your discussion of the game's "Stealth" mode started as an aside.
Sounds like a neat little game. It reminds me of Battlefield Risk. Set up a bunch of tile, put some soldiers in there, sneak around, and shoot and kill. Quick and easy fun.

My son and I love this game. It’s one of the few games I can get him to play.
