This is most exciting and I have just ordered the Pan-Tilt kit and servos. 🥳 I see one cool OpenCV feature is displaying on screen the Angle of Rotation of a box or parts. 😎 Thank you Paul.
Hi Paul, thanks for the great lesson! I was wondering if I can replace the Raspberry Pi 4 with a Raspberry Pi 5 and use the pan-tilt mechanism from the Jitsun Nano lesson instead of the SunFounder one. Would that work well with this setup? Thanks in advance!
So much changed with the Pi 5, I recommend sticking with the Pi 4 for embedded applications. In my view, the Pi 5 is beciming more of a low end desktop PC
Not able to buy the items. I do have motors that can be attached to gpio pins. Can that be used? i.e one motor on moving right and one motor on moving left?
i Paul I missed watching this live as I'm still in Morocco (106F yesterday) but I'm really looking forward to playing around with the Pan/tilt hat. I'm considering getting the Pimoroni version as I can't seem to get onto amazon from here. Would this cause problems or should I just order a SunFounder one when I get home?
The pan tilt hat is just two servos mounted on a bracket. Just follow along with me with a servo. Connect the servo to the Pi like I will do in the video. You should be able to follow along fine.
This is a good preview of what direction we are heading! Yes I think plan is good!
Hi , can i use a normal pan/tilt setup ? Like the one used with jetson nano lessons ?
Thanks for the update. I'm looking forward to see how this all works.

Thank you so much Sir, I really love your lessons and I'll love to meet you in person one day.
Thanks Paul, great lesson!
Thanks Paul. This looks like fun and way above my brain cell capabilities. But thats the way to learn.

Use the servo from the kit. Really will not work with motors.

I have not used that unit, so am not sure how it works.
Amazing! Is there going to be a tutorial for the servo too if that's our option?
