First video that I have watched that showed how easy the back is changed, what order the ignitions are (I have misfire in 1 thought 3 was 1 all this time :( so you made it easy for me), and now I'm gonna change the spark plugs. thanks
Great vid working on a 16 Traverse cleaned all the intake valves new coils and plugs and all new injectors and still misfiring on #4 any ideas much appreciated BTW compression good
I have been leaning toward a bad valve seal leaking oil into the chamber. I am noticing a slight oil consumption problem now too. This should change the color of the spark plug if it is just one

To tap into that tranny surge, as odd as this may sound, my traverse was doing the long pauses between second and 3rd gear... Jerking trying to gather a gear when I floor it, and bucking at full throttle. This completely went away after I changed the *crankshaft position sensor* ... im not sure what role it would play with the transmission, but it shifts quickly and flawlessly now.
That is a good idea i never thought about that. If the sensor is not reading right it might have an effect on the shift patterns. I am definatly going to replace ours now. Thank you so much
2012 traverse here. I got a thump thump while in drive and not moving. Well it also does it when in nutral and reverse and park😅... It also seems to thump when driving usually when just starting to move. I did a full spark pulg and valve cover replacement because there was oil in some of the chambers. Everything is to spec. It was running fine now it started with the noises again...any ideas what i can do next?
It’s hard to diagnose a thump noise through the comment section but I will try. Is it a constant thump? Does it change with RPMS? Does it sound like it is form the engine or the transmission?
I have been having this misfire issue for a while. I tried to change out the PCV system and it helped but it’s not gone. One of my hoses was cracked going to the hose that connects the throttle body and the air box and that solved a lot but not all of it. I still don’t know what’s wrong with it
Just found out what my problem is on my car skipping after I replaced Spark plugs, coil packs and gas cap. my friends scan tool found out the charcoal canister is clogging up so after I fill up is when it starts skipping and chewing up gas faster then anything no idea how to change it hopefully this helps other people out
@@ModdingAddiction I have been watching a video there's a guy that's cleaning it out with water from a Garden hose then air compressor the lines. It's A temporary
Just a FYI, dont manually force the blade of the throttle body open. You have to use the scan tool, and command it open. You can screw up the actuator on the throttle body, leading to damage. If your lucky it just throws the calibration off, if unlucky, your buying a new throttle body!
@@dancurrier6421 You need to scan it and see what codes are coming up. There's many things that can cause misfires codes, if that's what you have. -vacuum leaks -bad injectors -plugged fuel filter, if serviceable -valve issues, especially GDI -timing chain -dirty/plugged air filter -dirty MAF sensor -dirty throttle body -etc... Have it scanned, and go from there.
Splash it was scanned by a garage he has a snap on scan tool told me no codes on his machine checked under the hood for any hoses that are leaking told me might have to go gm they want $165 hr I don't think so . Going up hills I can smell it burning rich. the garage cut of one converter it was bad put a straight pipe on it
Thanks for taking the time to explain to us how firing orders works
Hopefully it helps you out
my 2016 Chevy Traverse lacking power up hills replaced throttle body and mass air sensor and up stream O2 sensor any help would be appreciated

Finally I’m starting to see the plug swap without taking off the manifold!
Right I couldn’t find anyone that was doing it. It’s hard but not impossible you can do it and wear a long sleeve to keep the fiberglass itch away
Not on an Equinox…

We're you able to figure out why cyl 4 was still misfiring?

I had a spark plug not fully in position. Fixed the hard idle, the check engine light off at it not making the loud winding noise
Nice job. Ill do the same on my wifes Traverse.
Good luck you can do it

Did that stop your misfire too?
Did that have a positive effect?

Just replaced Spark plugs and coil packs on my 2016 Chevy Traverse Lt and still skipping when I press on the gas

That’s interesting. I wonder if there is a fix or a way to clean out the filter

Is an “igniter” what a factory tech calls a coil pack???
Yeah they are interchangeable
Oh...I thought an igniter was that little red button on a gas BBQ.
Mine today was bad fuel injector
What kind of scanner you using? Name, model? Thanks
It is a launch x431 mini
I have a 2020 chevy traverse no light on but it is vibration when is accelerating i don’t know what to do
Probably injectors
Get rid of it and buy a Toyota
Watching for update with the trans issue. Think I’m having same issue.
I will make sure to make an update video. So be on the look out
Hey buddy look for loose ground on tranny or wires rubbing on frame on tranny plug
which obd scanner ur using , which is having all reset function
Good video … could’ve been better if was more thorough though…👍
Purge

Yeah I need to start using it more for things like that. Thank you for the reminder
hello I just replaced Spark plugs and coil packs and my car still is still skipping
