Nestled away in an alleyway lies a quaint traditional Hainanese breakfast street cafe. Well-known for its traditional coffee, charcoal baked toast and half-boiled eggs. Toh Soon Cafe is a snapshot to the past of what breakfast culture was like for the people of Penang. Helmed by Mr Ooi, his ambitions for preserving heritage and traditional recipes extend beyond just the street cafe.
