- Breakdowns have plagued us this year, here's another! We had a gearbox go bad on the corn head so we didn't waste any time replacing it! Enjoy!

1994 corn head, all eight gearboxes have been replaced/rebuilt over the years. This box twice now. I’m lucky to be able to work with my family!
Nice video, I think most people fail to realize all the struggles of farming. We basically solve problems all day everyday. Whether being a mechanic, figuring logistics, financial stuff, the list goes on and on. Keep up the good fight and Happy Thanksgiving.

Next time you have trouble with those flat head screws . Just take a piece of round rod a little bigger than the hex place it in the center of the flat head and hit it with a 3lb hammer . Or if u have a piece of hex to fit inside the bolt hit it with a 3lb hammer. The driver has to many moving parts and the it doesn't let the blow of the hammer stretch the threads. Also if you have loss the fit of the Allen head the blow from the round rod will crush it and tight that fit back up for you. You might even have to tap the Allen wrench back into the bolt. Nice vid. And hit them HARD!

If one gear box goes they all go ,I had same problem,had to get rid of header
