FF4 braindead option just do it when their on the ground for easy pressure and combos. Snake edge and all its equivalents are 100% reactable and actually never used by high level players. Kazuya's damage is really bad in this game compared to other characters, and especially compared to himself in old games. Ch df2 pewgf still does good damage but almost no one can do that, and those who can do it usually don't risk it if they're playing seriously.

TMM makes a video saying Kazuya is good, Kazuya gets nerfed and Kazuya's non-functional tools go unfixed. They say "we want to buff everyone to match the top tiers", TMM makes videos saying that's a horrible idea, and they walk it back and instead nerf the top tiers. He doesn't control their balancing but he definitely influences it with his opinions.

I really doubt it's a blindspot for them, they just don't want to buff him because red ranks and below can't launch punish hellsweep and will complain endlessly if he gets "buffed" (fixed). And tmm saying everything is fine and his average damage floor break combo is "BROKEN" contributes to them not fixing the character by keeping public perception thinking Kazuya is strong already. He would be pretty good if his hitboxes worked, but he has to lower his already mediocre damage and wall carry to do tiny damage combos if he's just a little bit off-axis. I don't see why else they would not fix the main villain of the series other than people thinking he's already good/strong/OP which irresponsible use of his gargantuan community influence like this contributes to.
