I know Tyler. Mr Rourke is probably more interested in meeting women anyway. He says he's looking for love. Anyway, thanks for your reply. Have a good one. 😄
Mickey Rourke is truly one of the most brilliant, naturally charismatic actors to have ever graced the Hollywood screen. His genius & talents were fueled by a tortured past and demons which all the success in the world could not help him escape. I’ve been fortunate to watch his great acting especially in “Year Of The Dragon”. His interviews reveal a very humbled man who has come a long way & has taken responsibility for his self destructive actions. He is true, charismatic and eloquent in his reflections of the highs & lows. A true survivor that I admire. Cheers to future happiness, joy and success Mickey.
This actor gives me genuine chills whenever I see ANY of his work. He will always be one of the best and most natural leading men in Hollywood of his genre. Every film he makes something of the lines. Even when they are garbage he simply has extraordinary phrasing and this overwhelming soulfulness and sincerity to his delivery. I admire his style and believe totally in every character he ever churned out. A truly great artist. A very human artist. And none of it was chatter or thrown away in his delivery. Ever. They ( the studios) should have paid everything to him because he embodies something so "Americana" in all the characters he plays. A sort of tireless searching. A mix of loss and sexuality that's going round and round, yet is never quenched. And then a huge moment of awareness and regret. This quality is featured in such tour de force when he gets in there. Very effective and entertaining. And educational for not only men but also women.
Daniel Raphael embodied Americana til he starting dissing the President. Mickey became a 💩 to me in that moment I hope he and all the other Hollywood libtards get what's coming to em in this life or the next.
Incredible comment looking back! I love the archive of TH-cam but Mickey is one of my favourite actors up there with DeNiro, Pacino, Depp and Day Lewis.
Barfly is still one of my favorite movies. Rourke was every bit as good in that movie as The Wrestler. Throw in Johnny Handsome, Diner, Angel Heart, 9 1/2 Weeks, Year of the Dragon and I think he has a career to be proud of. It's a shame that he lost so many years do to personal problems.
@@allsystemsgo8678 Was gonna type in "Pope of Greenwich Village" as well. Criminally underrated movie. Mickey's presence was phenomenal, as was the chemistry between Mickey and Eric Roberts.
I love, love, love his genuine, one of a kind, utterly unique honesty!!! He truly stands on top of the top of acting artistry, as Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Robert de Niro, Leonardo di Caprio, and many other best actors of all times!!!!!!!
Mickey Rourke is the F DON!! Pure & Simple!! There is NO ONE in Hollywood that can even come close!! Pure proper humble yet tough all man yet beautiful sensitive loving heart and soul who in his words 'can bring it' Nothing but love for this amazing guy & human being!! 🥂💪🏾💙
I think Mickey Rourke is one of the greatest actors in history, this guy has made me believe everyone he has ever played, if you have any doubt just watch that clip again.
Went to the Wrestler and was going to leave after 15 minutes because it was so slow but decided to stay and it turned into one of the best films I have ever seen.
Went to the Wrestler and started to fall asleep the first five minutes. Then he cut his hand on the meat cutter and it made me hungry. Went to get a hot dog.
Never was a fan until I watched this-unlike a lot of so called "stars" he's surprisingly humble-self effacing ,so Ive changed my mind-seems a really nice guy
I absolutely loved him in 9 1/2 weeks..that's one of those movies that if Micky Rourke wasn't the actor,it wouldnt have been the big hit it was..I really do wish that he wouldn't have had plastic surgery though
Rourke's an intuitively great actor who always comes across as genuine in interviews. He certainly eyed the cute chubby brunette's breasts when she asked the 'sex symbol' question ...

it was personal you can see and hear it ...this was not acting it was his real life in that part with his daughter.... it was too real thats why he cant watch it........wow.....powerful when the heart is broken and u have to move on, it can be a destructive journey.......especailly when you have no one to love you to help you to get through it
sometimes, he looks like old Mickey from "80, specially when he smile....his shy smile....but in rest, he's a mutant...great lost actor, my favourite actor....
I wonder if the woman on his right wore the low-cut dress on purpose that day. Did you see how Mickey glanced down that way a few times (like at around 6:00 and 6:05)?
How this magnificent talented Mickey Rourke doesn't have movies now it is crazy. All kind of not even close as charimatic and warm and exciting he is , all kind of by accident actors have movies. It is like you have Jesus coming to visit you but you are busy to go to visit a bishop instead. Dear Mickey Rourke whatever is your destiny you are one of the few so only few real actors that bring art to the Angels level ♡♥
I don't think Sin City was a big hit and he was playing second fiddle to Bruce Willis. He also played a smaller role in the director's previous film. He's known for getting previously A list actors on the cheap.
He was no longer the main character with top billing. He had to play smaller roles in films because of his reputation, it made him a liability . To erratic with his behavior to bank on. Dd
I just realized this was recorded 14 years ago. I pray that his career has still been just as good to him now as it was 14 years ago! I have so much respect for him. ❤
My grandpas brother or my moms uncle was Lenny Termo was a small time Hollywood actor who was in some big movies, he was known for joe the fruit guy in Seinfeld and he was good friends with Mickey
I'm always struck by his honesty. Few actors will reveal themselves like this. Wishing him only the best.
Do you think he is a great actor?
He is a wonderful actor who truly becomes the person in the role he is doing can’t wait to see all his work & movies
I meant Car.Me sitting in the car waiting for him. With love Julie
He is so patient and thoughtful answering the same questions he is asked in every interview he does for years and years
It takes courage to show humility, love and good vibes to Mickey.
I would be honored to meet Mr. Rourke. We need to see him on the big screen more often. He deserves it.
he wants nothing to do with you!

@@January.What?
I loved Mickey in 91/2 weeks, he was the most beautiful man in the world in that movie
Wow. He really contemplated his life and could then articulate his struggles. A humble man for sure.

So shy, he is the best, one of the most beautiful person I be ever seen. Much much respect to Mickey.
Noisette well he messed that up
What a fantastic guest for these ladies and they were great with him.
Bravo!!
He is such a sweetheart, honest and down to earth person
If Sean Penn had any balls he would have turned around and handed Mickey Rourke Academy Award because he's the one who really won that night
Darryl Goben well said ! One of the best comment I’ve ever read !
Exactly!
I think Sean wanted to share it with him
Fuck you
Well said....for some reason people don't like sean penn..
Mickey is a sweetheart...
A wonderful actor and fine Human Being.
Good Luck, Mickey!
Honestly I adore Mickey Rourke. Come to Australia and do a movie please!
My favorite dramatic actor of all time. I do think that it comes down to how genuine a human being he is.
Mickey is a legend, he’s the only guy in Hollywood I would have a beer and a smoke with
Cool
Same. Him, Michael Madsen and David Carradine are just real guys.
And Lemmy when he was still around playing video poker and drinking at the Whiskey bar on Sunset Strip almost every night.
Keanu Reeves?
u nailed it
He is an incredibly talented actor. Sadly, for a long time he was also awfully talented at ruining his own life, too.
I agree. Watching him in “9 1/2 Weeks” is a revelation compared to how he changed himself.
@@joanofarc33 I don't think he change himself he did boxing and wristling hurt him very bad and he also just didn't age very well !
we've all had a go wrecking our lives. if you haven't you haven't lived.
This guy has humility, as a man l look at stars and see pretense, he is real.
as real as his boxing career
he's infamous for having no humility. but he's more real for that.
So true! Well said!
This is one actor that should have never been out of work for that many years he is amazing
When you purposely destroy your own Hollywood good looks you have to be real.
You can see Mickey was about to tear up when he talks about his dog lucky. He's been though a lot in his life and I wish him the best.
So vulnerable and true.. I really loved this movie. I forgot it was a movie. Genius

Sums up what is so magnetic and watchable about Rourke. I think his performance in 9 & 1/2 Weeks is so underrated
Thank you for that reply. I have also appreciated his body of work in that manner. You get the best comment award for sure!

So happy he is happy again. When I feel rotten about my life I think of Mickey and how he looks at life now.
Wow! You must feel pretty rotten if he cheers you up!
Love him....such a deep soul
How could anyone not like this guy? His humility and self introspection come across so strongly..
It's called acting.
Always loved him. Still sexy and a fantastic actor!
mickey rourke heard the title of the show and said yes.bet he did'nt expect this.
cool guy, no hollywood bullshit, he seems quite humble and realistic about himself and his career.
apart from lying about his age..... he was 38 when he went back to boxing, not 33
and so what.. you never lied about anything. Shit that isn't even a bad lie, who cares.
He also suffers from short term memory loss plus is in his sixties

What does he mean when he says he was ut of a job for 13-14 years? xD
