This isn't a sound test...the conditions for each anchor are different, specifically drag angle and chain interference. 5 of the competitors anchors are stuck on the chain to the following anchor. If you anchor with multiple anchors on one chain you will have this problem and you probably shouldn't be a captain. Additionally, anchors aren't of a similar weight. An anchor 2 lbs heavier (18% in the test case) should perform better. Now test them one at a time, measure the tension in the chain when the anchor drags, the time to set, and do it in water....now there's a valid test...just say'n. Descent anchor for the price point though.

OHFORPEATSAKES CQR, Delta, Fortress, claw/Bruce anchors have been tested many times individually on hard compacted sand and they have a tendency to fail in this substrate which is why Mantus picked these lower quality anchors. I would like to see the ultra tested on hard sand versus mantus on individual chains as the ultra anchor is normally a very good anchor. The real bias in this test is they did not use a rocna on the other chain. It is the shape and aggressive sharp fluke of the mantus that makes it a superior anchor in this test.
I'm only going to add what others have but the other anchors can be seen to be trying to dig into the chain, which obviously will not work. Unfair test.

Such a poor test! I have a Bruce and I know it sets quickly. This video shows a string of anchors against one on its own and suprise suprise it's the mantus! Not much of a fair test is it, especially as all the anchors in the string are designed for single anchor only!!! Big thumbs down from me! Shame was looking for a larger storm back up and liked the take apart aspect. Do a fair video and I may purchase one!!

Need to do 1 at a time with a load cell or lbs scale to really see which holds more weight before pulling out of the sand.

This is a bogus test. Have the truck 20' in the air and then try dragging the various anchors again - guaranteed different results.

Terrible test you need to test 1 anchor at The time. If you have all of them on one road you dont get the lift of the chain or the right momentum
