    Hi Bill, would you be able to make a video showing when and why one would use the alligator clip attachment for the Ideal Suretest Circuit Analyzer? I have one and love it but have struggled to justify the price tag of the clips....maybe I just haven't thought of a situation where it would be useful. Thanks

  • @Aepek
    @Aepek 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Bill, you got a great setup there for your tools. Veto has some really great bags, totes, and pouches...& yeah, not cheap😉
    4:47 Warren made a pretty great tool, imo, and use my Voltclaw quite a bit, your review of it was great, by the way.
    6:22 I’m currently using Southwire electricians combination pliers (S7N1HD) that was sent to me almost 2 yrs ago now, and they are still in my main work bag. Really do like them and the cutter. Very similar to the Knipex you have, just the southwire ones aren’t insulated.
    Started a house Reno 4 days ago, and it’s interesting, as the homeowners did all their remodels, added an addition, & anyth8ng else to this house...all themselves (which I’m not saying is “bad”; but when a person does something and it’s totally wrong & unsafe; well....it is bad. Imo). The timeline for the job is end of May to first week of June; for everything to be finished and new ppl can move in.
    Never amazes me that “you think you’ve seen everything”; and then something surprises you when start on a new jobsite....OH MY😅
    Have a good one Sparky and thanks for the channel. Always enjoy watching and listening to what you have to say; and the stories you tell, LOVE the stories✌🏻

    The OT MC is my wet plumbing bag . The only issue , is that it’s open topped , attracts prying eyes and sticky fingers ! Also not great for snow ,Ice and frozen slush ( big deal in Canada ) . My present fave. as far as Veto is concerned , is the newish TP XL , rides on the top of my Milwaukee Packout . I totally agree on your choices in re: non contact voltage testers ! I’m glad you turned me onto the Klein Hybrids ! We have the same taste , in most important areas !

    • @SparkyChannel
      @SparkyChannel 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Chris! My thing is that I want to get the work done ASAP. Especially with renovating houses, time is money, serious money. My crew is generally me and 2 other guys, one mostly non-skilled, one pretty skilled and me. I do carry extra drivers etc. to loan out but I don't loan out the testing equipment and the VDE tools. I live in a dry climate without sticky fingers around so the OT MC is perfect for me. Keep on truckin Chris!

    7:09 - also you can use the square edge to deburr conduit. And it's a crimper. I work with electricians and since one left me on the lam with an incomplete job I got those pliers.
    I'm surprised not to see a Klein stubby or a Wiha slimline multiscrewdriver. Guess it helps with biceps.

    Hey, Bill. First, I want to start with a thank you for all that you do when it comes to teaching and explaining all things electrical in each of your videos. Second, you have motivated me to return to the trade and go back to school to become a licensed electrician. Well, you and my little brother. That's why I am taking the time to write a comment on this video. I am sure I am just overlooking this, in several videos that you list your tools on. But I have not found the link to "NTC" so we can order the tool that your friend invented. I had to pause the video at just the right time and look the company up myself instead of following the link. Is there a reason you are not linking the tool on your video tool list? I just ordered a set for my brother and they are not an expensive tool, but the shipping is a little high.
    Again, thank you for all that you teach us! I know I will be paying closer attention in the upcoming months ahead.
