Andrea Bocelli Foundation: 13 years of "empowering people and communities"

The Andrea Bocelli Foundation (ABF), Ente Filantropico, was founded in July 2011 by the Bocelli family after they were inspired by the love and positivity received from fans and partners around the world.
Through its mission of “Empowering people and communities” ABF creates and promotes projects that focus on empowering people and communities who are in situations of poverty, illiteracy, and suffering due to disease and social exclusion so that they may express their full potential.
ABF has chosen education as the key to fostering the construction of pathways that provide genuine opportunities for empowerment in places where sometimes education is not the main priority, strongly believing that to care for an individual means to take care of their education. Using innovative approaches and tools that incorporate art, music and digital into learning programs, the Andrea Bocelli Foundation works toward overcoming these barriers and allowing people to express their full potential.  Furthermore, ABF works to restore decent living conditions through its projects that range from offering access to medical care, to recovery services for humanitarian emergencies, and basic necessities, such as clean water.
Since 2011, ABF has raised over 60 million euros, which has led to the construction of 10 schools in Italy and Haiti, offering access to equitable and quality education to over 20,000 students every day. Furthermore, ABF has created welfare projects that provide access to drinking water and basic medical care to the more than 400,000 people who live in the most remote and impoverished areas of Haiti.
The Foundation also creates and promotes educational projects that use music as an additional tool for social inclusion and talent development, all in line with Goal 4.7 of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
