- Newark Airport is notorious for it's stressful and rude atmosphere! So I was delighted that the new Terminal A at the Newark Airport was completely the opposite. Everything is modern and clean and security has advanced technology that makes the lines go so much smoother and more quickly. You don't even need to take out your laptops or small electronics! As a Jersey native, this new Terminal A is well overdue! EWR definitely has needed some upgrades to modernize and fix up some things and this brand new Terminal A is a major step! Now can't wait until they do the same for Terminal B

The new terminal is operated by a German company so I think they’re tryna change the outlook of Newark with less alcohol and ATMs onsite.

You would think they would’ve used the European style glass boarding bridges, but they went with the ugly old jet bridges. Such a shame

In next two weeks, I’ll be arriving in Newark from Toronto via Air Canada. Probably this is the terminal where my flight is scheduled to arrive. This is the first time I’m travelling to States, hopefully everything works out..

May I know how it went cos we ended up with a very tight layover and need to scramble from terminal A to terminal B. SQ changed their departure time so we're getting a bit worried. Thank you in advance.
At Philly international they have TSA officers yelling at you more, at EWR it’s gotten much better.
As a person who lives in Newark near the airport is that the fact how it’s really good but one thing..sometimes I get annoyed because half the time, the elevators are broken and the escalators are “out of order” and the fire alarms would be going off every few hours, and sometimes the doors would just close on your face. Sometimes it annoys me that the fact how the new Terminal A is farther away and the AirTrain stops 2-4 yards away instead of behind the terminals like B and C. A building idea that I would probably recommend is bring back the old Terminal A in its same position (next to B) and the new terminal A would be in its same position, this means that there would be 4 terminals instead, another building request that probably most people wish is how they could connect inside of the new Terminal A after leaving the old Terminal A instead of a 10 minute walk from the AirTrain station so that way it would be efficient by not missing your flight.

It’s crazy how on the East coast Airport employees are so nasty toward customers. The people who fly is paying their salary. A lot of times they are just flat out nasty for no reason.

Terminal A is super chaotic. The fact that the gates are all amalgamated together makes it very crowded especially in the morning

I don't know if I'm cursed or what because out of the 8 or so times I've flown out of Newark to Punta Cana my flight has been severely delayed or canceled.. I typically now stick with Charlotte, Atlanta or Miami

It does not. You don’t go through security until you are inside the doors.
Looks like Terminal C but newer. Makes me still want to avoid EWR at all costs....

How does one get from Terminal A to Terminal C? I will be arriving at Terminal A and then sleeping at the airport tomorrow night to take a 3pm flight to Panama the following day from Terminal C. I’m worried because I don’t know if I’ll need to collect my checked luggage and recheck it at Terminal C? I’ve never been to Newark airport.
They have an AirTran system! So you hop on it over to Terminal C. Are you going through security in Terminal A? If so you will check in your luggage but they will transport it over to the correct plane. You won’t have to collect it again
I’m not sure they’ll keep your luggage overnight-it may be against security protocols. You may have to retrieve it between flights and re-check it. However, you can travel between terminals using the AirTrain.
I reached out to Nacho Tours to book roundtrip transportation from Cancun Airport to our hotel. They requested $20 deposit and the rest paid in cash on arrival. Is this normal. Thank you.

The new exit gates are a joke
They put them in to replace having a TSA agent there I suppose.. but it doesn't work well at all

The premier access line is a joke. Seriously. I never used it. In EWR all the special access people i.e. those who are. in wheelchairs only use the premier access line. It moves so slow as there are always a wheelchair person cutting the lines every other passenger. It’s unbelievable. No offense to special needs passengers but as they only have one TSA agent, the fact that they insert special needs passenger means the line barely moves.
With the AirTrain its much harder to get to than Terminal C. Its the last stop (you stop at 4 stops after getting off New Jersey Transit and each one stops for 5 or so minutes) and then you have to take a coach which is chaotic. Also Clear / TSA Pre is way less staffed than Terminal C and almost not worth it.

The train station that are the size of malls and are empty and to get done with the issue vending machine arcade games and a swing set and benches outside is what to talk about in transportation
But it's in a swamp in Joizey.
