You don't need the "City". Also European countries/Cities are always a good guess or even things that sound like cities. When I played it I guessed "Greenwich" or "Goodwill". Colors or even basic words like "Home" "groove" "hill" "house" go good. Like some towns arent even trying...

Minneapolis, MN (well, you just forgot how to spell this one) 9. Arlington, TX 10. Aurora, CO Edit: a lot of people in the comments are confused that I included suburbs in this list, so here’s some more cities that are the largest in their metro area. Riverside, CA St. Louis, MO Lincoln, NE Toledo, OH Fort Wayne, IN Laredo, TX Reno, NV This is of course not the same as being a non-suburb: St. Paul and Winston-Salem are not considered suburbs of their larger neighbors (thanks commenters) and conversely Hamilton, NJ is generally considered to be a suburb of Trenton despite having more people. However, the above is easy to check, while somewhere being a suburb is more subjective.
@Lucas Armitage San Jose is the 10th largest city in America. It's bigger than 173 (95%) of the 182 cities he named. In fact, if the makers of this map game updated its population data, they'd have to expand the list of cities over 1 million from 9 to 10 specifically to include San Jose. It is home to Cisco, PayPal, eBay, and Adobe, some of the most influential tech companies in the world. I would describe "headquarters of the companies that make the Internet work" as extremely relevant to basically everyone. Certainly everyone who uses TH-cam. This comment probably passed through a hundred discrete pieces of Cisco equipment on its way from my keyboard to your screen, for example. By any definition of relevance that could plausibly exclude San Jose, _every_ city is irrelevant to most people.
@Frenk Frenk most people know where Australia is, there is 300+ million people and not everyone is intelligent or tried in school. The education isn't great, but it's not that bad.

@Lucas Armitage San Jose is the 10th largest city in America. It's bigger than 173 (95%) of the 182 cities he named. It is home to Cisco, PayPal, eBay, and Adobe, some of the most influential tech companies in the world.
I would describe "headquarters of the companies that make the Internet work" as extremely relevant to basically everyone. Certainly everyone who uses TH-cam. When you put put Winchester, that is a part of Las Vegas, and I live so close to Winchester!
The city in Florida is just St. Petersburg, no H on the end
As a Tennessean I was screaming Nashville and his “shut up” matched perfectly.
Not Chattanooga???
as a Minnesotan, your trouble with Minneapolis pained me greatly
best part was he was pronouncing it correcting but then adding an extra 'an' when he went to spell it
Minionapolis
im from the midwest and everybody says minneanapolis its so hard not to
I'm from the Netherlands and yet it was painful to watch, even for me lol.
I think he was combining Minneapolis and Annapolis to create Minneanapolis
I was getting worried you would completely miss my state but then you got providence at least.
"too many bud lights on the weekend, man" that American accent was hilarious!! good job and nice video!
That map looks like my back
@Anita Handy Acne, madam
@A.A.Ron Davis Wait, so hot showers cause acne? Is it because your back sweats afterwards?
“Jackson, MS”
Me:😃
“And I’m done in MS”

I was watching the vid and scrolling through the comments, was starting to read yours as he said Jackson... Most lucky thing to ever happen...
@@Gutagi same happend to me wtf. And then i read your comment and i was like there's no way that just happened

@@MissStateFan I've drove through some of those places on my way to Pensacola Florida from Arkansas
You also forgot Hattiesburg
Actually, I'm quite impressed, you got more than I think I would've gotten, particularly the smaller-population towns, and I live in the U.S! (Also, born and raised in western Massachusetts, can confirm, Massachusetts is essentially Boston and that's it.)
"I am going to offend a lot of people with these midwest states"
*points at mountain west*
St Louis?
@@marktyler3381 no
@Chris Travers You have to keep in mind that this was the "Midwest" to the U.S. before we had all the territory in the West
Lots of people in the mountain states also call it the Midwest, so you cant blame him
@@nicholasconklin9586 That does not make midwest the correct term. My Grandpa was born in Utah and grew up in Phoenix, I have cousins from Idaho, and I have been to the mountain states many times, and I've never heard anyone call it the midwest. Maybe I've just never got anyone to talk about it, though.
This could also be named “British man reveals COVID cases in America
@Christian DiPaola True.
@Christian DiPaola actually about 65 million people live in the Midwest
@Christian DiPaola did you forget about Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, or Columbus?

@@oreggon9355 Minneapolis isn't midwest lmao
When I did this I resorted to guessing names like "Brownville" and "Pleasant" and "Jonestown", just random generic names 🙄
@@nick3718 oh wow
Don't forget Springfield. And also just try loads of small UK town names.
Townsville, PA
@@davehamilton-smith9460 yeah when I saw the title of this I said "just name a bunch of English towns, you'll get like 100 right answers just from that"
Dave Hamilton-Smith I just tried names of random European cities and tried to spell them like Americans would. Works surprisingly well.
As someone from Utica and Syracuse was so happy to see you get those early!
"That heroin place" as I'm currently watching from Huntington.
Me too lol
Well technically I’m in Barboursville lol
"That heroin place" is a lot of places
I believe he said “harrowing”.

Thanks for the knowledge of Stockton, Ca! Ive been here for 21 years (my whole life) and its home. I thought for sure youd skip right over us. Great head you got there you really work overtime remembering these places
i was screaming at the screen for you to use a comma in the search box
anyone else shouting nashville at their screen? then he told me to shut up 😂
I was shouting St. Louis and Raleigh most of the time
You forgot Truth or Consequences, New Mexico
OMG 🤣

(edit: well of course someone else mentioned that already)
King Of Prussia, PA, anyone?

Fun fact utah has a ton of cities named after new york cause thats where they originally settled but then was forced to move to utah.
Shocked you said Corpus Christi! I live in Austin now but grew up there, and most people I meet and ask where I'm from have never heard of it
A note on Fayetteville: this is only one of 36 cities/towns in America named after Marques LaFayette, a french general who helped America during the Revolution. 2nd most populous is my hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana, just an hour west of Baton Rouge.
In short, when I did this challenge I spammed "lafayette" "fayette" fayetteville" and state abbreviations after them because I knew I could get a ton lol.
Marquis de Lafayette was not his name, that was his title
Are you counting Lafayette, CO? because that was named after a completely different person.
@@ryan_alexander thanks, i actually didnt know that
@@ystem6836 im going off of wikipedia for the number, although another wiki page lists all derivatives of the name, which accounts for a lot more. so i believe the 36 number doesnt take that Lafayette into account.
i just started listing all my friends surnames and banged out a good couple aswell as towns in the uk
aswell as various foods and inanimate objects
I got Rick Rolled by your “About” section and in not even disappointed...
Connor Sutton i am unbelievably proud of myself, no one has ever done ( or at least admitted) that before! i too got rickrolled by it a few months ago as i made that in 2017 lol
I just added ‘new’ in front of every British town I could think of and got about 75% of the American cities
