This song hits so close to home. As a child, my dad was a real monster of a human being! (6'4" 260lbs.) Was so abusive to my brothers and I. I'd always take the brunt of the beatings trying to make sure we ate a few slices of bread each evening if possible. Some days we didn't eat dinner. Dinner was hard to come by. He had his case of beer every day instead of providing food. Beat me terribly when he found out I fed our siblings. But I took every beating praying to God that life would get better. Starved, beaten, burned, and freezing showers between 4-7. It was tough understanding why my dad hated God's beautiful children. My faith in Jesus kept me alive. I want all to know who's going through tough times, that God has a plan for each of us. Sometimes it doesn't seem like it. Lean on our Great Lord, and he will provide. I was adopted by my grandparents at age 7. Being adopted, and Jesus helped save my life. I have forgiven my dad so I don't carry that burden. When life gets rough, praise God. And when life is great, praise God. He will lift up our spirits and make us whole again. I'm 34 years of age. And want others to know that in God's time, our lives will get better. Lean on him and God will provide. I'm sorry for any age of child who is hurt by your parents or anyone else. Don't lose faith. I wake up every day smiling, knowing that my past is my past. And knowing forgiveness and happiness outweighs the evil doings in life. I pray who reads this, understands that you are loved by God even when you don't feel loved. I love each of you like a brother or sister. God's children are the best children! It took a long time for me to share this. I truly pray this helps anyone of any age get through your tough times. Please don't give up on Jesus! He love each of you! 😊❤❤

It was hard at first to share my story but I read a 14 year old going through hard times and wanted him or her to know that it will get better. I've seen people suicide over bad parents or bullying. I'll share more of my life if it means helping someone else know they're not alone. And Jesus will help heal wounds!!

I can relate to this a lot! My dad was mentally abusive. My mom didn't tell me till I was a young teenager but I could sense that something was wrong. Growing up I always felt like we had to put on a mask at church and pretend like we were the perfect family. Now I understand that God doesn't want us to pretend to be someone we are not he loves our brokenness and he doesn't want us to hide it.

I can relate to this so much my dad was abusive when I was younger and my mom was mentally not there sometimes so I had a hard time then they broke up and after a few years it was settled I went to live with my grandparents and see my dad occasionally and haven't seen my mom in 3 years but I'm sure God has a reason and purpose behind all that he's done for my life and I know that some day I'll see her again because jesus can and now I've devoted my life to minisrty as a junior in highschool and Im surrounded by the best youth group and the best youth pastor who wants me to succeed and glorify God. Jesus also took care of me at 17 I got stage 4 leukemia I had four brain surgeries and two massive strokes I died on operating table after the second brain surgery I went to heaven I talked to the Lord he told me Matthew you will be okay why I was up there all my scars were gone my hair was back I was not in pain it was amazing but he said Matthew you have to go back if you're hungry I'll feed you if you're in pain I will take it away he sent me back to my shell as I call it cuz who you are is your soul on the inside my heart started back I was
In a coma i had two more brain surgeries after that I had to learn how to walk talk everything all over again but I made it he took care of me and he will take care of you too you just have to have the faith and I'm living proof I'm 36 years old now I apologize for you have to read all this but that's the only way I could put it cuz that's what's happened✝️

I’m a teacher and every day I encounter all the brokenness of the world in the lives of my students. I have been experiencing overwhelming dread at the thought of going back to fight the darkness every day during the school year that’s coming up. This song just reminded me that there is hope for even the most damaged of the kids and it is only JESUS, not me, who can take them from lost to found! All I have to do is be His light for them to see.
Has a parent of young children, rest in Jesus and continue the work of Jesus if He leads you to continue. Our young souls need the prayers from Jesus authority figures.

God turned my life on its head last year. In 2023 I was suffering depression and self harming. I hit a wall after my course and my hours crippled. I feared my future and ended up overdosing. At the hospital God spoke to me to GET UP AND DO YOUR ART. ever since then my life has changed for the better. I am 9 months clean from self harm which is the first time in 13 years and I no longer suffer from suicidal thoughts.
God saved my life and he can do the same for you 🥰

I am going through an extremely difficult time in my life and I feel like a living corpse just existing.... May God be with us all and may His peace be upon us all!!!
