  • Ilha Grande in the state of Rio de Janeiro is one of the most beautiful pristine destinations in Brazil. It is easily accessible by a quick one-hour ferry ride from Angra dos Reis. There are no vehicles on the island so be prepared to hike or boat your way around. Whatever your means, it is well worth the trip. The natural beauty is breathtaking. There are camping spots along the way as well as several tiny villages, many with a restaurant or two. Be prepared to see and hear lots of wildlife from several species of monkeys and birds to armadillos and lots of sea life under the water.

    Oi Chad! It’s ChristinaZ. Que bom que você visitou o meu país. Gostou da aventura? Eu sou da Zona Sul. Any who, I loved your video, as usual! Angra is a great place, but I have not been to Grande Ilha, because of trips my
    Family planned overseas, etc,... also, it’s an island that’s very difficult to get to and one must sleep at least a couple of nights there - in order to return, or at least it’s what I recall from yesteryears, and absolutely no one in my fam’ had the interest/desire to go there. Lol. Too bad, bc it looks amazing! I love private islands. Oh, I loath Jaca fruit and the smell 🤢makes me want to puke. lol
    As always, you make the best videos and your expertise is top notch! Thank you for sending the links to me. You’re the best!

      I hope the financial crisis hasn't derailed your trips to Disney and Miami for the thousandth time. God, Brazil's upper middle class is a joke.

    What kind of survival knives you guys used for this trip?

    • @ChadZuberAdventures
      @ChadZuberAdventures  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We really didn't have much use for knives on this expedition. It was mostly hiking, not survival practice. But I almost always carry a Kershaw field knife for normal use and a larger bowie knife with dull blade for opening coconuts, chopping and digging.

      Chad Zuber that's great. I was just curious I'm into survival knives. My go to would be either the esee 6 or the tops silent hero, as well as a smaller knive like an esee 3 or 4. There all good ones.
