Not sure what I love better here. The beautiful Sabian cymbals or the incredible tuning and miking of this drum set with that SNARE! great review love my Sabian cymbals
So glad Sabian is staying true to their roots while enhancing a already great product and not following fads. The dry stuff sounds cool on recordings with a certain sound but it has no diversity in musical applications where volume matters.
love the sound of these cymbals, and want that 22 like crazy, also like columbus percussion, my son and i attened zildjian days sponsered by them quite a few years back, with asteve Gadd, Simon phillips, and Dave Dicenso, great show and vantastic host, with great deals Thank You
Great review! I picked up a 22 medium ride and fell in love with it! Want to add a 20 as a crash but also to use as a ride for low volume/small room cocktail gigs. Would that 20 crash be too washy to use as a ride?
Thanks for checking out the video! You got us curious so we tested how washy the 20" HHX Complex crash is that we have in the shop. What we found is that it is not really a great option for a ride even at low volume. The wash just gets out of control too quickly to hear any stick definition. Thanks again!
@@ColumbusPercussion thanks for the quick reply and testing out the 20 crash. That’s some real incredible customer service. I wish I could support with a purchase but for now all I can do is subscribe to the channel and sing your praises. Thanks again 🙏🏼🤟🏼
I completely agree ….I have a large complex setup similar to what’s demonstrated here .. because of the lower fundamental of these .. they are slightly reminiscent of paiste to me
How well do these cymbals do in a metal setting? I’m a rock and metal drummer and most metal drummers go for the aax series but they just don’t bring out the sonic pleasure for me. So can someone give me info on how well these would do in that setting?
They would sound amazing So great In fact use a ride to crash on and do not hit it very hard at all. It will cut through I promise. Think of how Alex Van Halen would use a 20’ paiste 2002 crash on chorus parts of their songs and it wash a perfect roar in the background.
Thanks! Do you usually keep the 16” and 17” in stock? I would much rather “try it and buy it” than order any day. I bought a great set of Zildjians from you guys in 1982 or 83. Worth the trip from WV!
@@DrumnDadWV Usually we have the 17" and 18" in stock. Right now we just have the 18". Waiting on the 17, 19, 20 and 22 crashes to get restocked very soon!
The bell on the medium ride is FUNK-AYYYY. I worried that it might be weak, and it feels great and cuts. Easily double or triple the usability of the bell on my Legacy 21 ride.
Just bought the 15 inch Complex hats. I need the rest to complete the collection. These are just stunning to say the least.
Not sure what I love better here. The beautiful Sabian cymbals or the incredible tuning and miking of this drum set with that SNARE! great review love my Sabian cymbals
Same. and with just kick mic and one overhead! I just bought these cymbals and I think I need that snare.
que tremendo sonido uff!
SABIAN HHX una completa pasada.
in a world of dry trashy cymbals, these are so refreshing. sabian is doing great things with their line up. great demo and stunning cymbals
Thanks!

Nice playing! Just bought some of those cymbals. Can’t wait to play them!!
great playing on this demo of some beautiful cymbals-the drums also have a nice open tuning. nice job all around!👍
Nice demo, Corey!
Thanks!
These would be killer in the studio.

I can't decide between them and Paiste602 Me hihats, dark energy crashes and masters medium ride..
It seems to me that the ride has a very small volume. I can't hear him very well.
I love this, love ❤️ love this!!!
Sweet across the board!
Great review, thanks!
P.S. your voice reminded probending matches in Avatar: The Legend of Korra - really cool!
I liked a lot, and find them someway similar to Colaiuta's Paiste modern essentials wich are great too.
Ye, me too. Exept 22 Crash they have similar pitch. Sabians are trashy versions of 602ME for me.
I completely agree ….I have a large complex setup similar to what’s demonstrated here .. because of the lower fundamental of these .. they are slightly reminiscent of paiste to me
No 24” ride?
nice snare
But the crashes and hat sound very good

Nicolas Mozingo I have the 22” crash and it works perfectly in any genre, including metal.
They would sound amazing

Probably good for effect cymbals but a brighter and louder main cymbals would be needed IMHO
Just got my 22 thin crash
Does it ride well or too washy?
@@simonsmith2642 it does everything! Amazing light ride and absolutely killer crash for all music ,
Is the 2nd crash from the left the 17”?
The individual cymbals from left to right are: 20" crash, 17" crash, 21"ride, 18" crash, 19" crash, and 22" crash

@@ColumbusPercussion 22" ride that is?
For the love of God, really wish he would’ve alternated between bow and bell while playing ride.
