- in this video, I am sharing how I usually plant my fruit tree for cheap. a lot of fruit trees don't really need expensive soil or amendment so don't break the bank while planting your tree.

It's Just Gardening.
Gardening is simple, just plant it and let them grow. Gardening in the DMV area, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
I live in suburban Northern Virginia Zone 7a. I converted my front and back yard into a garden food forest, hoping to have all year-round produce.
In addition to growing greens, I also grow some Cold Hardy trees and plants, like different varieties of Russian pomegranate, citrumelo, pineapple guava, yuzu lemon, Meyer lemon, and oranges. Some are in the ground outdoors and in an unheated greenhouse.
Below is the list of my plants:
pawpaw, citrumelo, yuzu lemon, Meyer lemon, Guava, sugar cane, jujube, Russian pomegranate Salavatski, grapes muscadine, orange, tangerine, blueberry, blackberry, flying dragon, loquat, passion fruits, maypop, banana, figs, honeyberry.

I have 6 different Jujube trees in my yard that I have planted. I live in a hot tropical climate and not sure how they will do as I have not seen them drop leaves I do not have a winter. They have had their second growth sprout and already have some small fruits growing and I have not even had them for a year I hope they are happy with my climate and the lack of cold weather wont effect their growth.
Very cool, that’s interesting and cool experiment, I guess as long they putting out fruit then it fine. I don’t know if the Chinese jujube need x amount of the cold chills or not. Very cool would love to know the update on the long run if it continued to put out fruits or if it just a one time in the hot tropical.
Just found your channel since my family gave us a bunch of jujubes haha. Thanks for the video!
Cool, thanks
Good information. Where did you buy the trees from?
edible landscaping, thanks.
only $2 for Garden soil? how many quarter/cu ft? just get $7 on 45qt. thanks
.75 cu, I buy it every spring around May
Wow, I'm embarrassed watching this, I dug my hole just big enough to fit the nursery pot and plopped it in...lol
Lol, it’s still grow.
The honey jar I got at the same time as your trees were planted right away, but now all the leaves are drying up and falling off. I'm hoping it's just a normal Fall temperature reaction and it'll come back next Spring. Though my other jujubes planted earlier this Spring is still holding its leaves. How are you new jujube trees doing?
That’s just fall, my leaves start falling a a week before putting ground.
