- Basically, when you hear brownie you think a chocolate square or rectangular baked sweet. Brownies can be cakey, fudgy or something in between. If you want to get fancy you can add nuts, frosting, cream cheese, chocolate chips, or other ingredients, but for this recipe we keep it simple. This brownie is a fudgy recipe with a delicate glossy "skin" on the upper crust. After you try this brownie, you won't go back to the boxed ones ever again.
