That skydiver is incredible as were all of this line. I played with mine a ton. My skydiver is still in almost perfect condition despite all he's been through.
Before Star Wars arrived in 1978, these were my toys of choice. I still played with them right along with my Star Wars toys.
The figures had one arm posed palm down so that they could operate shifters or hold steering wheels on vehicles, carry stuff in a different way etc.
It is still is one of the best toy lines. Super durable, detailed, colorful and so varied.

I had many of these sets as a kid. They were my first "action figures" and were a big step up from weeble wobblers and Fischer Price toys for younger kids. The main difference was they had legs. We call them "men with legs" as in "Do you want to play men with legs". The "men with legs" term eventually encapsulated Gi Joe, Star Wars, etc. generally in some post-apocalypse hybrid world. So many great hours playing as a kid.

Ha ha, excellent! My best memories as a child were indoor jumble sales, finding this stuff, don't seem to have those anymore... Not where I live anyway 🤔

Damn, I don’t remember this series at all. 80’s baby here. Thanks for another great video anyway. Love the nostalgia of the era!

The first guy was the helicopter pilot. They were rescuers.

Indeed the chopper was cool especially the claw under to pick up the raft

Loved these- had them before star wars figures came around. Which is why i called my star wars action figures, my star wars people.. btw- the bloke that pops in and says "that wasn't clever, was it?" -was David Prowse -Darth Vader

I've still got my "Sea Explorer" set minus the rubber dolphin it came with, it's pretty much my oldest original surviving childhood toy. My older cousin also gave me an ambulance set in the early 80s from this line, I still have that one and it's complete (it only has two peices besides the figures) It's still a really neat set despite being from 1975 and still is still really sturdy for it's age. I never collected these as a kid but I am thinking about getting a few of them. The shuttle one is really cool looking, plus the transparent aliens, they remind me of the old TRON figures (I had a couple of them and a light cycle)

Awesome, I'd love to get hold of the Tron figures, they're really hard to find now, unless you pay a fortune.. I am after the TV reporter van, that's a very nice set, with a camera you can look through 😗

@@thegoodthebadtheuglyshow I've seen that one, (the news van), it's pretty expensive to find complete, and complete sets hardly show up online, you usually have to piece that one together. The female reporter figure is the only one in the whole line that wears a skirt.

I had the shuttle, just so you know the grey rockets on the back of the shuttle detach and plug into the back of the smaller vehicle making it look cooler

I also had a set from this series that was based on jaws it had a boat reminiscent of the one in the movie with 2 figures with scuba tanks and a shark

Ive seen people use copper wire covered in white plastic as a replacement for the missing EVA line you mentioned for the space shuttle; not sure on the wire gauge tbh.

In the Alpha Probe you need to discover that the rear motors are removable and fit into the small capsule. Also on top of the ship is a rail where you can mount the pod.

Adventure People were about a dollar less than a Star Wars figure..So, if you couldn't talk Mom into buying you a Star Wars figure..You could usually score an Adventure People figure.

My Dad took my deep sea diver and put it in his fish tank, he engineered it so there were bubbles coming out of the helmet lol

I think this is the fastest I've ever seen you travel through a toy shop! 🤪

Me and my 3 brothers were all born between 1970 and 1975 so we had loads of these toys and figures and still do. My youngest brother got the spaceship and yes he was excited. I've got the cages along with a Gorilla and the Jeep that transported them. I'll need to check next door for the full inventory of what I have. Are they worth anything?

That's awesome, they're worth money now, to toy collectors, some more than others... But the true worth is the sense of nostalgia I think, how much they mean to you.
