One of the best nights of my life. Feeling so blessed to have seen Joni sing my favorite song live. Something I will remember and cherish forever. Thank you for posting this video.
Years ago, Joni played five nights at the Greek theater with Pat Metheny, Lyle Mays, Michael brecker, and Jaco pastorius. I went to three of the shows. Yes, I feel grateful and thankful to have had that experience. I do not regret going to this particular show because it would just make me too sad as I don't have a way to accept that she will be gone soon. She gave so much of herself to some of us out of her personal pain and artistry. It made me a better person. Thank you Joni for everything ❤️🙏 Tears ...
She sounds a bit better on this song than some of the other vids from this concert…This song lends itself to her current voice a bit better than most of the others in the set.
You should check out Hejira from this show. She sounds remarkably good on that. Probably better than any of these other ones. th-cam.com/video/nKvEdOMQbdY/w-d-xo.html
I don’t know , I guess if fans want to show up there is a market for it. It seems with all the old rockers they are giving them thrones to sit in. I am glad Frampton is not sitting in a throne. I wonder how long they will keep her propped up.
You do know that Joni suffered an aneurism, fell in her house, wasn’t found quickly, and needed to relearn how to walk and talk, yea? So, that’s why this is remarkable and also, perhaps, why she performs seated.
I saw Frampton sit for an entire concert on his acoustic tour. That was a few years ago. Getting old can be tough. Joni's 80, for goodness sakes. I'm a healthy 73 and just walking up the hill to the Hollywood Bowl exhausts younger people than me!
@@whizzboom41Maybe that's sufficient reason to hang it up? I can't fault people for enjoying this but I find it sad and can't watch more than a few minutes.
@@scottmyers9360 It’s not that I can’t see your point, but that’s not how Joni rolls. She’d already hung it up and retired from music before she fell. Recovering from her various injuries and a renewed sense of creativity from going through her vault of unreleased music (ala the series of Rhino box sets) is what fueled this. As a childhood polio survivor, JM is all about rising from the ashes. 🤷🏼♂️ I have mixed feelings about it myself, and I’m a lifelong listener and collector with a cpl hundred hours of live files. This is what Joni is serving… and folks seem to want to support it. As a teen in the 80s, it was a terrible time to be a JM fan… Dog Eat Dog came out and suddenly Joni Mitchell was the uncoolest thing ever. I was 15. So maybe I’m just enjoying the fact that this might be the first time that I feel like she’s getting the respect she’s always deserved. And it’s impressive to me that she feels like doing this again. It’s definitely not about money. Whether ppl wanna show up for it is another story, but they seem to support it as these shows keep selling out.

@@keymusic thanks very much! I’ll check it out…
Yes Brandi, we understand that Joni can't hit any of the high notes. You don't really have to advertise it every time. 🤷🏻♂️

Disgusting comment. You are subhuman.
