Tips for being a good hacker:
1. Drive like a fucking maniac. Nothing is as inconspicuous as doing 120 everywhere in a banged up car or on a motorcycle.
2. Leave your banged up vehicle right next to your hiding place. Nobody will able to put two and two together.
3. Stand right out in the middle of the street looking at your phone, you know, just like the other AI's do.
4. Frantically run from hiding spot to hiding spot. Or better yet, run with your gun in your hand to cause mass panic throughout the city.

I hate how people say this game sucks. I avoided this game for ages, only just now buying it because it was on sale. This game most definitely does not suck. It feels like a nice mix of GTA and Assassin's Creed. It's a ton of fun. But people have been saying since it released, that the game sucks, and Ubisoft ruined it. Turns out, the only thing really different is the graphics. And even then, the actual graphics look fine. Not quite as good as the original demos and beta, but still, good enough. The game's still fun as fuck regardless of graphics.
I just hate that I ignored this game until now, just because I assumed the game wasn't very good. Considering how most people reacted towards it. Oh well. At least I get to play it now. And I can promise you, I'll be getting WD2. Won't be preordering, just because I know Ubisoft's recent problems with changing games between previews and final. But I probably still will get it some time after the price drops a bit. WD2 looks like the first, but with better free running.
This. I feel like im the only one that really enjoyed this, as you say, love the blend of gta and AC, can't wait for WD2 with even more free running and hack options
***** Yeah. Everyone's so obsessed with the slight graphical downgrade, that they don't realize it's still pretty much the exact same gameplay they showed in the previews.
I still don't get how people still hated the game, then when watch dogs 2 came out, they're trash talking Marcus and watch dogs 2 and they're acting like the first game was the best thing to ever exist
Honestly, the best hiding spots for now are :
- The roofs of the train stations
- A blue dumpster
- A bush or place with plants

Yeah, I have found that hiding in cars really only works until you're about 80% complete with the download. Once the circle on the mini-map starts to get smaller and smaller, hiding in cars is just about the worst thing you could do. When the circle is at its smallest (80-90%), it's easy to profile people hiding in cars, as there's not much space to cover at that point. Not to mention, once you are spotted, having to actually start the car before you can take off is a real pain. I have died so many times trying to take off at the last minute, only to die while I am trying to start the damn car.

Your really good at driving compared to other gamers
I tried to hack a person that was hiding from a 5 stars police. He whas in a building. I sneaked behind the police cars. It was fun.
The skid marks and ditched car were genius.

I swear this entire game is made to make you feel guilty for what you do in it and GTA. If you carjack someone in GTA they either say nothing, insult you or scream and run. You don't feel as bad as you do here.

Best strategy is to hide behind the concrete, or high ground, and use blackout if it's night, works all the time
This game slowly grows on me.... at 1st everybody will compare it to gta, then later u can see the difference good & bad. wd #2 should be made and will be better....i hope!
I've found that if you crouch behind a car and just keep moving around it as the other player looks for you, that they hardly ever find you

Hiding in a car is the dumbest thing to me. The only time it works is if you're victim gets out of THEIR car to find you and while they are doing that, you slip into it. I still find it dumb and too risky. I just hide and avoid.
Well if you get into their car then they be like "hey that's my car" but yeah if there's better places to hide then i'd use them sometimes though, like at 27:24 where i would purposely dump the car to make it look like i've run off and then get in another car. I've also got some more gameplay where i swap cars during a car chase.
I feel that's the only reason to hide in a car. It has a high success rate because if you get in the car and leave it exactly how they left it, they won't think about checking in it. In your earlier attempt when at a red light, I believe THAT could have been successful, but you exposed yourself when you backed up and peeled out. Lol... I'm actually going to try that strategy by putting a "dummy" car in front of a traffic light, and hiding in a car behind it (posing to be in traffic) and occasionally honking... Just like the regular gameplay.
N Okafor yeah good idea lol, i've been thinking about purposely hacking traffic lights then trying to crash into AI cars however i also thought how do i do that because the AI seem to accelerate at lightning speed without any screeches or whatever
I've just been caught while in a car once, but that was my very first hacking mission. There was literally nowhere else to hide, an open area with a house and three cars. It can work, but I only really do that if there happens to be a car right at the end of the circle and there are no better spots. I've failed at finding an enemy hiding in a car once as well, I suppose I didn't point the profiler at it long enough to make it work.

Has anyone ever invaded someone elses game and they just drive all the way to a boat and then drives out as far as they can in the sea? That is by far the cheapest move anyone ever came up with.

The online hacking in Watch Dogs is the stupidest idea I've ever seen. What the hell is up with devs and thinking implementing online into offline would be a great idea? I don't want some dumbass stopping me from playing my game just because they want points.
Then turn off online invasions. They put that feature in for people like you.
I did turn it off, in fact I did it immediately when I realized I could get invaded during a CAMPAIGN mission, which has happened several times for reasons beyond my realm of knowledge.
I find it to be extremely fun. I can see when it would get annoying to some people, but it's actually one of my favorite things about Watch Dogs.
I like the idea of online invasions, but not while I'm literally in the middle of a mission or when I'm about to leave the game.
Yeah I guess they could of designed it better when or when not for you to be able to get hacked.

Great vid...I think the hide & seek type of gameplay is run...although at times it would seem a little too easy for people to get away. I think the video would have been more interesting if it was more like 33:00 .... Where you're near the guy and yet he can't find you...

I'm really surprised that they have forgotten the ultimate stealth technique in the future...which is of course that of Solid Snake! Not even specially trained guards could decipher his "hide in a box" tactic...
And thats the Multiplayer? you just sits there, hide and wait till a that backdoor is installed?
there are 7 other game modes (if you have ps plus, if not then only 1 other mode)

Ah, i've got Maths on the 13th and the 9th, chemistry on the 10th, physics on the 12th, biology on the 6th and geography on the 6th. I do edexcel geography and re but the others are AQA.

I got watchdogs on my ps4 but my parents won't allow me to play it until after my exams are finished
I dislike the fact that the other online features are only for ps4/x1/pc seems kinda unfair to people who cant afford to spend 510$ or 620$ for multiplayer that should've been included regardless of the console

Next generation, Next generation first we pay to buy a ps3 now pay again to buy a ps4? why cant they keep it simple just let us play online and stop eating our money we've already gave you enough sony and microsoft.

Swagule Mihawk You don't have to upgrade like every 6 months but some do because some are really obsessed about upgrading more then playing the dam games :D
I use to be a console gamer then decided to build my own PC! It's been like 3 - 4 years since with no upgrade and i still play most games plus new ones on med - high to ultra graphic settings with reasonable/stable fps and thats with a Gigabyte GTX 460 graphics card which i barely meet min spec for watchdogs but that said i can get most settings on watchdogs on high with stable fps. I have saved loads more money compared to consoles and there games!

A good tip to know whether u are getting hacked or not: if the game won't let u use ur focus u are most likely getting hacked!

That's not multiplayer that's just a special mode that ubisoft put to make it look like multiplayer there's another mode that is multiplayer is like a team death match that the objective is to hack the other group and also survive again this is just a mode it seems multiplayer but my best guess is that is either a special mode or maybe just maybe it is multiplayer because I mean don't you have to pay for multiplayer on PS4 right?

dtizzle It was supposed to open you up to more online hacking if you did online hacking.
Also hacking a Blume agent will get a bounty on you and people trying to get in. I remember the first time I did that someone was in my game 40 seconds after they called in the bounty.
last time i played watch dogs multiplayer something weird happened now try to explain this on what happened ok so i was playing with my friends basically normal until a blackout occurred ok i was driving to meet one of my friends who didn't had a car because it was destroyed by blocker in police chase my friend said that he almost got caught but managed to escape but he was a little freakout by it because it was impossible for the police to arm a blocker but when i got there he got over it he thought that someone was using the ctOS app he was hiding in a garage but some stupid reason i decided to get of my car and headed in to the garage and that's when the blackout occurred i found my friend and it when dark i couldn't get out because the garage door was closed when the lights come back on again my car was gone i thought it was a troll so we moved on but few minutes later i got a creepy message on my phone it said you see you did he mean that he is seeing me? it only got much more weirder i was on a L-train it was normal until the train when into a tunnel when in the tunnel the train stopped i thought he was around so looked around the train on the top inside outside nowhere at all he vandalize my cars arming spikes getting police on me and creepy messages after this i called it a night i never saw the player again i go on the watch dogs forums to see if anyone else has see this player but to no avail but what was creepier was that the player had no name tag

are the Ubisoft servers down on PS4? i can't seem to connect to any games what so ever, has this happened to you?
haven't been on today but it is day 1 so have you downloaded a patch for it? did you sign in before you started the game cos i had problems connecting to ubisoft servers when i signed in during the game.
***** yeah well mine just doesn't work and there is no patches so perhaps it's just common day 1 bugs

nah i just edited the waiting time out, this was actually a 2 hour recording session so like 90 minutes was waiting for a game lol

You should try hacking people via camera hopping, instead of running right up to them, if that's possible.

Sometimes you gotta stay where you are instead of going out to see where the fixer is. You woulda had em a couple of times if you weren't so curious, like with the dumpster

Why just shut it off then? Its annoying on the other side of things to finallyget into a 1v1 session only to have the other person disconnect right away.
Good, i'm happy it makes people annoyed when i disconnect people, especially when i do it at 98% hacked.

OMFG I'm so glad I'm the only one that isn't awesome at this at first. I've gotten better but I used to get so embarrassed lol.
Hiding in the car it doesn't work at all it's for the cops hide to lose them . Just find some bush or moving around the car to avoid the other players it worked at all the time :D

My best invasion was when I hacked someone from a train. He walked inside as it hit 95 percent so I got off and made the train go away with him on it

you made some careless mistakes that nearly got you busted a couple of times here... but then again this looks to be early online play so I didn't expect a lot.
Have you tried using IED + crowds to relocate? I've had a lot of success doing this when someone was walking towards me. Just pre-plant the IED and stick to a crowd of people, when the player starts to get too close, you blow the bomb and run like everyone else. Just plant it where there aren't any people to avoid getting cops called.
Is there anyway to hack your friends instead of hoping to get them in the random rotation

Best hack = identify the target. Get on a bike. Ride to the nearest raised train station. Go up the stairs and get on the track. Fly down the track away from the station. Start the hack. They never find you. By the time they realize you're on the tracks above them, it's way too late for them to get to a station and come get you. Wins everytime.
Or hide in a fire engine. For some reason nobody ever checks the fire engine. It's nice to throw the lights and sirens on at 98% to celebrate your victory.

Mostly parked cars which will get a couple of frag grenades as I stroll by.

It is hard when ur trying to profile or install a backdoor
so...if the guy ur hacking heads into a side mission or main mission...wat happens then?
Most invasion occurrences halt the initial mission start, causing them to have to wait until the attack is over until they can proceed to their mission.
That happened to me, I went to a mission and it was locked, causing the game to notify me that I'm being hacked. Idk if the game did this to explain why it's locked or the player hacked me right at the time but it just locks the mission.
Yeah, you aren't required to unlock a mission when that happens, you just need to complete the invasion and go straight back to it.
In any case, you can always disable invasions if you get tired of it.

This is hide n seek if it were a video game
Few tips :) :
(HACKER)
Don't ever hide in cars, as no AI leans back in the seat when sitting in a car
Try to get as far away as possible after hacking him (you have enough time)
Use different levels of your surrounding if possible
The "ring around the rosie" thing works nearly everytime if you know how to do it
Hack traffic lights and other things just to fool your opponent (funny as hell)
Black Out the ctOS to get rid of cameras for a short period of time
(BEING HACKED):
If you think someone is in your game just pause the game, if the background still moves (pedestrians etc.) you're in multiplayer mode and may be hacked soon
-> get in an open place with less cover/elevation
Shoot around (NPC's will evade the scenerie, good "karma" = no police)
Learn to spot "unusual" movement (speeding cars, running/hiding people)
Use cameras and jam the ctOS (only once useful)
The area your hacker is in get's smaller everytime he get's plus 25%
-> if he is on the edge of the circle (like most people are) the area will kinda
slide in his direction (if it would just get smaller he wouldn't be in the area anymore)
so this can give you a little hint which direction he may be
These tips brought me up to 1% of the world for hacking
(never got hacked).
I really hate it when noobs purposely get bounties on themselves and hide on top of buildings or in garages where no cameras are accessible.. I usually just go in there and shoot em' up- They aren't worth hacking.
