I literally thought I was the only one who got rid of dangling words!
I got into the habit of doing this, as an attempt to shorten my screenplays as they always ran too long. Getting rid of 20 dangling words in a feature length could take a good page or two off my script. As well as condensing dialogue.
No matter how many times I go through a script there’s always a place where dialogue can be condensed. This helps me shorten scripts too.
I may be one of the rare persons who aren’t trying to reach the word count, but trying to bring down word count 😂
Short scripts and short stories are a mystery to me. I find they always just have an unexpected twist at the end, as though that makes up for no character development (which there’s not much room for in a short piece). I don’t get how short works are done. My pilots seem to run 60 pages, and features, 140 pages - my attempt at putting in everything that is needed. Then I need to trim the fat lol. I value your videos so much!

awesome sauce! And yes - with screenplays, less is almost always more. A feature should be 90-115 pages max. 120 is loooong :)
