Of course we are fortunate to be in college. This time is supposed to be the peak of young existence with the new found independence to make our own choices. Our college years are commonly referred to as "the best days of our lives." But sometimes it doesn't feel that way. While college has its perks, our day to day lives are often not as happy and fun-filled as our media and society portrays. Many students are faced with crippling debt after college and some of the most severe mental health conditions they've ever gone through. This film is meant to highlight the "best days of our lives" in a more realistic sense, acknowledging fully that the stressors in this film are not the only struggles that plague university students. Much of what our society focuses on when it come to college is time spent as a social endeavor. This movie is meant to expose the stress, struggle, and anxiousness that many college students endure, and the realities of university life that many people overlook. I urge you to consider your judgements about university life before you form them or to reconsider them if they are already formed: not everything is as it seems.
