If that's true you'd have made it happen. All you have to do is book a flight and concert ticket. You won't regret it. I'm mainly a classical and opera fan, but I treasure the times I've seen Joanna live. I was at this gig and it was fantastic.
I read this on wikipedia: "In the spring of 2009, Newsom developed vocal cord nodules and could not speak or sing for two months. The recovery from the nodules and further 'vocal modifications' changed her voice." I would say this is remarkable, considering. :x

Good ear! I heard that too. I think what you are hearing is a few members of the crowd noticing, then whispering to others that Joanna has changed an important lyric, philosophically speaking. On the album the lyrics are, "The NOTION that these lives do never end". Here, she sings, "The KNOWLEDGE that these lives do never end". It seems subtle, but if you ponder the difference, and do a little research, these words convey very different meanings. "Notion" is subjective, while "knowledge" is more objective. I really love her for precisely these bits of awareness.
@@garki1369 I think that lyric change was just a spontaneous accident, since she hasn't replicated it in recent live recordings. But i do like the change in nuance.
@OrcaOrkestar I'm not sure about @jkbosh, but I think she sounds affected here meaning she sounds much like she did before '07, which isn't a bad thing. But watch her most recent performances from 2010 and 2011. Sounds much more.... erm.... polished? More delicate, I suppose. More trained. This sounds much more 2004 - 2006.
I would do anything to see her live. Anything.
