    Everything is understood sir....but find the course ...I m facing problem..can u please explain this.... whether we add 180 or 360-

      The Initial or Final Course could be:
      1) same as calculated angle
      2) 180 - calculated angle
      3) 180 + calculated angle
      4) 360 - calculated angle

    Sir in a great circle question, where the the higher latitude is north ...but vertex is not aked in question....i took the sputh pole instead pf North, i got same initial nd final courses as others, will we not get marks on it?? Kindly telle sir??

    Sir, Can we solve great circle sailing questions using the method used in Capt. Subramanian book (practical navigation) for competency exam?

    In the last question, we can find the quadrantal value of the true course and determine the direction she'll travel in. For 210° it's S30E.

      In great circle sailing courses changes at every meridian (exceptions apart). So, any course will state heading at that point - not necessarily representing direction d'lat & d'long between departure & arrival positions.

      The courses may be stated in 3-figure notation or quadrantal notation - whatever you may be comfortable with.
