This is my call. I share so much of what is in the heart of Francis. I used to live like Elijah. But my reliance on God has eroded. While I listened to this message, Thunder and lightening erupted ...God was punctuating, emphasizing, empowering this message to my heart. (And I am 70 yrs old.)
I'm convinced Francis Chan has seen something that he's either not allowed to speak about or won't for some reason. Kind of like the experience Paul spoke about when he said he knew of someone who was caught up in the third heaven.
The Holy Spirit spoke to me early in my walk with the Lord, "The only way to always be right is to always admit when we're wrong." See 1 John 1:9 There's so muc& freedom in the three words, I AM SORRY and I WAS WRONG. I actually look forward to being able to say those things.

Felt led to write something...dunno what it's gonna say..buy the Holy Spirit gave a nudge of writing out a little refining process. The humbling process has come in waves and seasons of unknown territory. Asking God to break me and refine me has come with its odd timing but really it's God's timing. Which to the human eye and understanding...seems odd...but all very purposeful and timely and intentional. When we go through refining processes we can tend to blame ourselves, and sometimes it very well is something we are doing to prolong a suffering, and then there are times when God allows us to taste the deep bitterness of that thing He is about to break off of us. Be still and know is the one response I could be obedient to in this intense season of refining. God has had me in the furnace to polish me up. Thank You Lord for knowing the timing of the removal of certain thorns. The process to it. We want this instant thorn removal, but would we truly find gratitude at the end of it all if every trial we begged to have removed or resolved was, poof, just removed. This would remove the vital character building process God uses to humble us and prune us. Thank You Lord! Thank You for not removing certain things till Your perfect agenda and timing. And even if You don't, I will trust You because this thorn teaches me humility. This thorn is my teacher. This trial is my friend because in the end it creates me to be who You always called me to be!

I always believe that leadership should mean servanthood but its often confused with power and status. I personally don't like titles being given to people as it encourages pride and abuse of power. Each person should use their gifts accordingly for the good of others. A head cannot function without a body and I think that so often gets forgotten.
