I really like how much personality the RPGs gave to Mario, Luigi and Bowser. Especially Bowser became such a great character with this game.

It gets crazier: Bowser Memory M&L were constructed from Bowser's memories. So MX & LX were constructed from Mario and Luigi's memories of Bowser's memories of Mario and Luigi.

you could've used snack basket on the little dark star minions because the attack would one hit kill both of them, causing the dark star to dispose of them, which saves you move sets
I know I’m a little late to say this but for most playthroughs you need 2 snack baskets to those minions though they’re still a bit cheaper than falling star though

When I played boss rush I always had the Giant Shell equipped for mario. It nullifies all damage that is under 60 (with my defence stat) meaning that all attacks except for the really nasty ones (like flaming bowser falling from the sky) did no damage and I could focus on dodging for Luigi while tanking all of the hits with Mario. It was awesome :D

Interesting that you had it on Mario. I'd have put it on Luigi, as he has higher DEF and HP. However, more often than not I have Luigi carry the Challenge Medal, so I can put POW-boosting items on Mario.
Interesting choice you made there, I usually fully equip Luigi with defense equipment, and equip Mario with the challenge cap, that nocks him out with any hit he takes but doubles it's attack and then destroy any opponent with the jump helmet (it only use Mario attack, but Luigi's Boost in tandem attacks make it broken)
If there's one thing i don't like, it's that you have to grind for this before the final boss, you can't continue after...

But you know what would be even harder? Dream Team giant Boss - Boss Rush. I never won that thing
Please don't remind me of that, beat it after I beat the game and it was a freaking nightmare
I am also a m&l veteran, but I can't even beat Antasma (at neo bowser castle or whatever it's called) so I think dream team is the hardest one
Dream Team is easy but the tilt screen makes me want to throw my 3DS out the window.
I beat it, but the gyroscope in the Zeekeeper battle caused me lose about 2 times too many. Also, his attacks do too much damage.

During one Bowser X fight, most of the sprites became glitched. Back then i though it was a feature for added difficulty.

I would have used the Excellent! (not the level 40 one) and the bros badge. Second, I recommend that you have 475hp on Luigi and have at least 475 Power on Mario (Level 60ish using all HP beans on Luigi and all Power beans on Mario, both with A-OK wear for both, DX power gloves and boots on Mario, and any HP buffing gear on Luigi)

I am curious as to what your equipment and stats are for the Bros. You already got my respect for your no damage runs, but if you had the Challenge Medal on, then I'd truly be amazed. Lost my copy before I could even attempt such a thing, never min the fact that I could never do this no damage.
Seems as though I spoke too soon as I commented just before Mario stubbed his toe on a Dark Star laser. Doesn't make the run any less commendable, especially if the Challenge Medal was equipped.

Am I the only one who played them with Mario wearing the equipment that gives atk x2 but if you get hit you die instantly + another this that get you alive instantly after 2 turns & Luigi wearing the def x2 when carrying your brother + champi eating sometimes at the beginning of a turn and maxed Mario's attack & Luigi def?

I always looked at an end of a pipe where i knew which bro was in it and paid very close attention. It became easy.
I was real good at magic window able to get over 2500 damage off on one go (because it is infinite )but I could never dodge bowser's attacks so I didn't beat the boss rush also I had trouble managing sp

Is game is fucking hard! Bowser eating carrot contest, that place where you lose money when you didn't hit at the rhythm, that water maze place, bowser x, realizing that you need to hold L for the final battle (WHICH WASN'T STATED IN THE GAME)

Fun Fact : The giant Bowser sprite in the Bowser fight is the same sprite from the giant battles
Which in turn is just his regular sprites but massively upscaled.
(This is just a request so u don't have to do it) U should try leveling up mario,luigi and even bowser to lvl 40 with just pure damage (but it has to be with the highest numbers like 6s or if there's none then try the other biggest numbers like 5s and u get the idea) but if u choose lower than what the max number has in the slot,then u have to start the game over and try again until u get the biggest in the slot (luckily if u save before leveling up,then it won't be annoying as it is right now). It could take a while but it might be worth the risk if u want to ko enemies in one shot (plus once u reach lvl 40,then u can challenge the bosses and see that huge change. I tried leveling up to lvl 50 but I only did hp but somehow one shotted durmite x with just a jump from mario with an addition of beans (by the way,save the beans until the end so u can save game and try using up the beans separately or all on one character). Now u ask:why not any other m&l games?...well this game of all is the only one with huge numbers of damage and x bosses. The true test would also work with cold midbus,dark fawful,and dark bowser so u can try those too. If u want,u can start the damage from the beginning in any way with the enemies. All u have to do then is dodge from many/all attacks and ull be fine for the rest. Now that that's over,thumbs up so he can see

It would have been cool if Bowser X was capable of attacking with all of Bowser's special attacks.
But since getting all the special attacks is optional, that wouldn't work.

I don't think Bowser had enough unique bosses to make a boss ring. Also, adjust the screen size its way too small.
Y'all cut through this max-difficulty bosses like they're nothing but my ass needs at least 20 minutes each
I have a great loadout for this battle. it combines extremely high damage with insane defense
Mario: Daredevi boots/ Master wear/ Special boots
mario does 2x damage +40% special damage with this loadout. I also give all pow beans and half of the special beans to mario
Luigi: Gall socks/ A-OK wear / Giant shell I give all HP beans to luigi and the other half of the special beans.
a lot of enemies try to attack luigi instead of mario so you have less risk of mario getting ko'd due to the daredevil boots. also you can safely endure most attacks against luigi because of the giant shell (can reduce hits from up to 80 damage to 0) Ive seen luigi getting unscratched out of hard hitting attacks like at 7:43 and 15:07
I sure have a lot of fun with this loadout and using the x4 damage badge + Jump hat (used by mario) can do up to 2200 damage in one hit to bowser X

the durmite boss battle (this goes for the x form to.) is the only place you can get a speed down status effect. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)
Bowser X is really tough I recommend to be in the level 30s or 40s

Lol I got lucky where all of the colors for the 2nd boss were the same, so i didn't have to waste 2 turns to completely kill him, and I ended up beating the boss rush in 9 turns
